    There is tournaments in UK, Hurricane Rev with the Rev it Up project along with support from TKEU do the Ulimate Power Launcher tourneys in London. Idk if there'll be another one though

    Seriously wondering if people can read. It's fine if people counter a grab, haven't got anything against that, but using lag isn't the way forward.

    Judging by the conversation, your issue is more about lag tactics and not having much experience dealing with grapplers. The fact they have offensive holds and throws a few frames faster than normal throws greatly make up for their shortcomings in speed. The sooner you learn how to deal with them, you'll look back and laugh on calling them "cheap".

    Thirdly Alpha's mids aren't super fast either, so characters with good high crush capabilities like Helena can reign hell on her. One interesting aspect I like about Alpha is how she forces you to understand how MU analysis works. I.e. in 2D fighters, character can differ ALOT from one another. In DOA, everyone is almost the same in comparison. Alpha is the unique anomaly.

    That's how you're supposed to fight Alpha, you're supposed to YOLO her. If you try to YOLO Ayane, in comparison, she'll blow you up for it lol. i10 means 10 frame move, and Alpha only has one i10 grab that is pretty terrible. Her i12 grabs are pretty strong though.

    Living in rural England means getting to offline events is extremely difficult. Not like I have a choice if I want serious play.

    In my experience, very few online matches have next to no button input lag. It's impossible to have a legit match online.

    Jann Lee is only mid tier. Maybe upper mid since Japan seem to put him up there. However, there are some characters with better tools than him.

    H+K seems to be the the move people talk about with Jann Lee because its a sit down stun and can land a CB, but you can slow escape that.

    As much as I hate to say it, all the annoying shit that Jann has, 66T, H+K, 66H+K, 6P, 236K, 66K, etc., he pretty much needs it to be competitive. ALPHA is much more versatile with 3 CB's, the best grab in the game at 149 dmg, the best OH in the game, the longest strings that you can never punish, damage output out her ass, minimal learning curve.

    Seriously fight a good Alpha, she'll drive you fucking nuts. Though about 99% of Alpha players online are ass like about 99% of Ayane players online.

    Just saw it hyper for the 2nd season. 1st season was great for character introductions and world building so things should be much more fast pace now.
