honestly i cant really say anything. because im not a personal fan of the glam rock/wrestling style so my input isnt suited for this style. in the same way i wouldn't ask a lolita deseigner to critique my Bayman outfit because "add more ribbons" is not an option.

Thats totally understandable :) Thanks for the input though, but if you wanna say ANYTHING at all, please do. I'd love to hear all possible opinions.

Might just be me, but for once I think the arm accessories don't really fit her that well. I like everything else though except for the hair and war paint

Glad you like it! I understand what you mean, I wanted to do something bold, and decided to replace the typical wrestling streamers with belts. The war-paint and hair are the alternate hair and "glasses" options, so they are just for zest!

All critiques and comments are more then welcome :)

well two immediate things come to mind.

i can get why the belts are there, but i think ones on the upper arm need to go aside from major clipping issues its just too much for something so bulky as a belt.

and second you mention that this is her "heel" costume, the words dreamer and such really don't reflect the negativity you would expect from one imo.

The potential clipping was always an issue in the back of my head, but I'm confident the full length arm of belts would really compliment most of Tina's movement.

I totally get your point on the wording on the gear. I wanted to keep some of the Tina-ness, but as stated in the description, its a resurrected Gimmick.

To give you an example; (I'm not sure if you are a wrestling fan or not, so I'll just describe this incase) A fan-favourite, Chris Jericho, used to be known as the 'Lionheart' Chris Jericho! He resurrected this gimmick for a revival show in 2005 ECW: One Night Stand. And even though he played the 'Lionheart' as a pompous young punk, he was received as MAJOR baby-face (wrestling good guy) to a chorus of cheers.

This was what I was going for. If this doesn't cry out in the image, that falls on me, but I really do respectfully accept your criticism. Thx for the input :)

Also, are those belts hanging off her arm and back?

The boots aren't too bad except that I'm not feeling the strap over the front part, looks like the strap you would find on some bicycle pedal designs or on a horse saddle.

I'm not shoe expert but the the cutout out of the front of the sole of the boots looks weird to me.

Looks like even the community has a bias for female costumes and it's not just TN.

TN already stated that even people from the west buy the sexualized female outfits so I'm not surprised. Female characters are the face of this series and more so the more popular ones. Real surprising thing is Marie Rose getting more submissions then mascots Kasumi and Ayane. Must be the combination of the "new" factor and loli appeal.

TN has a bias for female costumes because the community has a bias for female costumes.

From what I've heard from various sources, the DLC sales for costumes around the world are at least 60% of sales being towards what I would call "skin" costumes. Depends on the area, but again at least 60% to at most 90%. So yeah, it's obvious as to where the bias is coming from, and it's not TN.

Strange, just yesterday or 2 days ago TN posted on facebook a message about the success of the contest with more than 100 entries sent to them, but actually seen the numbers would have more correct to talk of almost 200. Not that this is a bad news, just the opposite ;)

By the way, thanks @legibifou for your statistics :D

Nice to see the newcomers like Rig having a decent amount of entries
I just want Team Ninja to do one thing regarding Marie Rose's costumes less loli and more lolita (by less i mean none).

so im working on this " blossoming" helmet deseighn for the Bayman outfit and its a little tricky. essentially you take a basic helmet and crack it semi-vertical in a sense, so what you have is a bunch of large segments spaced apart, but still connected via the layer beneath. i know ive seen this style before but i cant find a reference pic of it. if y'all remember seeing it please try to get me a pic.

also the helmet separated into two pieces with the bottom half being your basic half-mask, with the alternate being the half-mask/ beret so he still looks human. ive also requested my artist to make the pads more modern/rounded this should do away with the MK look it had before.

By loli costume, do you mean jailbaity outfits?
yeah costumes like the kindergarten one and the boyfriend shirt that sexualize an 18 year old going on 13. I get that TN made her to fill the loli void that the cast had but still,
On a more topic related note im glad there's going to be a design for Bayman :)

The belts are hanging from the length of the arm covers on her left arm. The collar that circles her back is hard pleather, the stuff that wrestlers masks etc. are made from to be semi-rigid, but still soft.

Point taken on the boots :)

200 entries! WOW! Really looking forward to seeing the final compiled gallery on FB on the 17th.

@Russian-chiropractic19:
Looking forward to your Bayman entry. Thinking of practicing with him a bit more!

Actually it's impossible to not associate Sarah to Samus given their similar design, overall after Metroid Other M developed in collaboration with TN. The inspiration for that space ranger outfit is of course the popular Nintendo heroine.

By the way @synce AlphaAquarium would be awesome! Damn, I would wish that someone could send it in your place (of course if you agree), maybe @hollow could be interested?

PS: By the wya you said to have sent an entry for Phase-4... maybe that cavia outfit is your one? Because otherwise you should be sure if the entry was accepted by TN (sadly they didn't answer to my question about the new clone being or less part of the contest...).

I'm not sure what cavia means but yeah I confirmed with TN they're accepting P4

Actually I want to replace it with a mech outfit for Alpha but I don't think TN would ever put that much effort into a costume for her

There's also a few others I've considered...
