Hey my fellow NorCal players! I am new to the site and looking to get to know some local DOA players. I am from Sacramento. Lisa is my main. I've been playing for about 3 months(new to DOA). Gamer tag is the same one I use here if anyone is down for some online matches.

SoCal DOA will be hosting another tournament for DOA5U this month. December 28th in Inglewood CA (location is subject to change but will be announced if so). If you are in the SoCal area or in California in general, come out to the tournament to play and support the game.

Thanks for the support. Hope to see you online. I am on at nights around 7 to about 12 or so depending on my schedule and what not. You guys have any local tournament scene or local gatherings, esp in the Sacramento or Bay Areas?

I think Shadow told me there were regular gatherings in the East Bay but I'm not sure if that's still going on. I hope it is...I've been itching to actually get some good practice in. If not, then I'm sure he's more than willing to set something up.

I host and organize a tournament series in San Jose called Best of the Battle at least once a season. If you play other fighting games besides DOA like Tekken, VF, MVC, etc. I also have those games in the lineup for my events.

For casuals there's this warehouse I go to every wednesday and we have fighting game nights. It usually starts around 8pm and goes till around 1am. Griffin and Saul (local SJ DOA players) usually roll thru also. It's a really chill environment we usually just kick back, listen to music, puff a few zags, and play on a back-to-back set-up that projects on a big screen. If anyone's interested in hitting up game night or a tournament just PM me for more info.


PS - @Return of the Shadow @Requiem We're long overdue for organizing a local gathering, aren't we? Let's plan something soon! Ya?

Added you to the list. Thanks for the heads up on the tournament/casual scenes, again greatly appreciated. Would love to come out there if possible some time.

I enjoy Tekken and SF but not that good at either of them. Trying hard to get better at Tekken, but you know learning a new fg takes a while. I love me some Soul Calibur but never really played online or competitively.

I still plan to use double tap games as a venue. They reopen sometime in Jan and will contact me when they do. I hope players show up when that time comes.

BTW NEC2013 was sick for doa5u, But there's also So Cal regional s 2014 its only two month away. Sure hope that doa make's it in for the venue I do play other fighters but DOA in my heart is my most funnest to play.

No such thing. SoCalDOA (which is a organizing brand, and has no NorCal equivalent) runs a lobby out of a stream set up that they do every so often. NorCal players and pretty much anyone else are free to play there, of course.

I don't think there's much going on in regards to PSN itself, though feel free to add AFDRequiem and message me here if you want to play sometime.

On an unrelated note; yes, it'd be nice to actually meet in NorCal and play sometime, but I'm keeping busy these days so I'm honestly not likely to be much use with venue or people organizing. But I can make anything with even basic notice.
