I'm still on the fence but thanks to Ein, Lost Worlds and Forest I'm tilting over to the buy side, however I'm still waiting for maskless/classic costumes and some speed/damage buffs for Hayabusa(so he's more like his old self) plus some more classic stages from DoA3/2U and better online netcode/mode and I'll be sold

Only one person voted no, and that was me. And unless TN gives me a reason to buy it, it will stay as a no.

They already have. It's got "Dead or Alive" in the title.

And you will buy it, regardless of your reservations. You will also likely attempt to flatout deny you will do this as a last-ditch effort to prove you are in control of the situation, but we both know you are just lying to yourself and everyone else. You will cave. They always do.

Time to accept reality, sir.

I'm glad you think you know me so well. I may get it, I may not, but right now TN has given me zero reason to get it. If its the same garbage stun fest then I have no interest in it. If they actually fix it, then I might get it. Until then, y'all can have fun playing a game with flawed mechanics.

Was also on the fence, after seeing Ein I'm willing to give the game one last try. Depending on what improvements or lack therof are revealed may or may not change my mind but it's pretty unlikely that there will be something so bad that not even Ein is worth getting the game.

Probably won't get it day 1 though. Only if it's convenient.

Same.. I'm pretty much happy as it is.

Depending on what they show off depends on if I get it day 1 but if TN show some good Hayabusa stuff during atleast one of these trailers and vastly improve online then I know where I can get the game for £25 when it retails at £32 ;) so I'll probs get it day 1 then. I am really hyped about Ein though and super intrigued about Momiji, Hayabusa + Asuka = Momiji it seems and all those Izunas are just asking to be thrown all over the place.

I was really against it at first, but if they keep adding content and fixing the things I wasn't happy with I'll buy it. I got the collector's edition of DOA5 and I was disappointed with it (they sold the "special" swimsuits within a month or two and my art book came with a dozen ripped pages)
So I might pre-order it, but I doubt I'd get the special edition again since there really wasn't anything special about mine. :c

They had me at...

anything else they do is just icing for me. but they definitely need to fix the shitty netcode and look into improving the overall gameplay before im completely satisfied

I'll probably get it day one, but for the love of all that is holy, the netcode needs to get better. A netcode this bad should not be acceptable in this genre, period.

with DOA5 beeing my first DOA title i was very excited for it. i watched tons of matchvids, read through every forum that could have expanded my knowledge about DOA in general and i really, really wanted to get good in this game.

but the absolutely unplayable online mode/netcode killed this game for me and had to drop it. my main fighting game, tekken, had horrible netcode as well. then they did an amazing job with the netcode of TTT2 and because of that lots of really good tekken players started to play online and this leveled up my game significantly.

hopefully DOA5 ultimate will have a great netcode so that i can pick up this fun game again :)
