Anyway, I'm serious. I don't think Christie's gonna make it because she's widely hated in tournaments and isn't popular (among the casual fanbase) in Japan anyway. So TN will probably have some BS reason she won't be playable, like sending MIST intel to DOATEC behind the shadows as payback for Donovan's abuse of her talent.

Also, Kotono Mitsuishi's been pretty busy. There's the back-to-back Sailor Moon Crystal movies coming up, then the 4th Evangelion Rebuild movie.
For once, I'd actually like to be proven wrong. But it's a crap shoot if she does make it in.

Wow...didn't know her VA was busy. Also that sucks as you know I think Christie is a really cool character.

i think it's interesting that every relevant female character has already been revealed (or at least teased in some way, like kokoro & lisa) except christie. the order of releasing characters clearly doesn't have anything to do with popularity. also, i'm rather curious why the remaining three female characters left to be announced all have a connection to doatec. maybe i'm looking too deep into this...

I reckon that you're probably on to something, these characters could be revealed in a story trailer (like the Opening Declaration trailer from DOA5).

Christie will be in. She'll get a new VA if her original can't make it.
It's the same reason why Lisa hasn't been teased yet (despite that accidental leak). Their plot and marketing campaign.
Regardless if she's popular in tournaments or not. She was pushed in DOA4 & 5 story wise. Why would they take her out of action now? Tecmo ain't Bamco lol.
It'll probably be:
Christie / Lisa
Eliot / Brad
in their reveals.

I just hope that Team Muscle actually isn't Team Western and that's all we see of the females that didn't get voted for in DOAX3 by the 300 people that cared enough in Japan. I don't expect that Momiji or Rachel (it's bullshit) will be in the game, but if Christie isn't I will definitely be annoyed. One of the most picked offline characters, and probably won more tournaments than any other character.

It would be like taking Fox out of Smash.

I don't think a white haired British assassin compares to one of the characters that made you buy an N64.

i don't know man... star fox was a pretty big deal back then but nowadays the series is barely relevant. Fox is probably more recognizable through smash than his own series...

no, but in my opinion, the problem since dimensions is that tn thinks that the bad guys are there to be defeated. they don't need a story on their own, it's enough if they appear in the good guys' story. this is something i noticed a long time ago and it is certainly not limited to the dead or alive series. look at mileena in mk2011 and mkx. they did to her exactly what they did to christie. let's reach even further. take the sonic franchise as an example... ten years ago it was only natural to play as the heroes AND the villains... now you get like sonic and classic sonic. wow. wig.

also, i think it's hilarious that brad wong and eliot got that stupid ass filler story which was like two whole chapters. it was a complete waste of development time and money. and christie was like bitch where's my chapter and why am i everyone's punching bag.

You guys, please stop worrying about Christie. I am not a fan of her, but I have 100 percent faith in her return. She plays a very important role, because she works for Donovan. In terms of story, it wouldn’t make no sense to take out a miniature villain. The only thing I’m thinking, how will she look and what kind of new moves she’s gonna have. Stay optimistic people.

And yeah, the villains deserve more spotlight.

Since Christie is confirmed and we got 21 characters. Who will be one of the remaining 4? (Kokoro, Lisa and the new chick are in the 21)

Not counting Nyotengu and Phase we have 18 characters officially revealed for the roster, that leaves 7 characters to be revealed in 3 months.

New Female is almost guaranteed to be revealed at DOAFES and maybe either a brand new stage or the official reveal of Aerial Gardens so we might expect 1 character trailers dripping out over the next few months or one big trailer at DOAFES confirming most of the remaining roster.
