I believe that as far as there's no glitches and no characters are overly boosted, by the end of the day in a fighting game the characters won't have more than their necessary moves.
However I'm pretty surprised that you think that TN isn't doing much for the competitive scene. You wanted them to do more, but what about yourselves? To the very basic, half of this community are mainly SF/MK/VF players who never take DOA a real matter. It was delisted in EVO but you never made the voices (and TN did list EVO as one of the majors in Battle Royale.) It is being sidelined in major tournaments, streaming time is scraped, but you never thought that's wrong, with all those shitty excuses.
I heard that a streamer shouted to find DOA players to show their faces in his cast, but got no responses after that whole month, so where are the guys who claimed they love DOA and keep making all kinds of complaints?
Basically the FGC is mostly money whores who pursued not the games of theirs, but the best games that can bring them more money, which is SF. Other game communities, in particular DOA, are just sand castles built on top of the stone called SF, you use SF's resources to build groups and call it your game's community, how do you think it will be good for long?
It will be more surprised to see TN having any more incentives to serve the competitive scene if it keeps being that shitty (and honestly you should appreciate them more.)
