Kineda, one of the organizers states that the game list isn't finalized, BUT space is very limited. They're hosting it at the Domain hotel in Sunnyvale. They held it there two or three years ago, and that place was hella small. They're already hosting 8 main games. One of the Super Turbo guys already asked to host ST, and they couldn't accommodate due to space issues. https://twitter.com/kineda/status/301947455086395393
We can definitely ask, but knowing this, I'm not sure they will be able to accommodate DoA as well.

Yeah man. He was actually the one who told me about this site and pretty much always rolls through my sessions. Also, I am planning on having a session this Saturday at my house so if people wanna roll through, hit me up and I can give you guys the details.

As far as NCR goes it seems that it's going to be very tough trying to get our game in the lineup. We'll have to compete with the Soul Calibur, VF, and Super Turbo communities in order to get a spot because more than likely those communities are going to be contacting the NCR people as well.
Here are my suggestions on trying to get DOA at NCR 2013
1. The person you want to hit up is Terry Ng (Kineda). He's the main organizer. Here's the link to his Facebook ~ http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=568095004 . Send him a message and say that you want to attend NCR for DOA only.
2. Post on the NCR Facebook event post ( http://www.facebook.com/events/122874407891932/) and ask for our game to be included in the lineup. Like every post that mentions DOA, comment in every post that mentions DOA, whatever. We need to show high numbers in all categories. We, as a community, need to show unity to prove that we're serious about trying to get our game in the lineup.
3. If you have a Twitter account then tweet him (https://twitter.com/kineda/). Be polite folks. Let's not spam this man but let us do make our presence and interest known to him.
By no means am I suggesting that you spam this man with messages and bug that crap shit him. Don't do that cuz we'll just look bad. Be formal about it.

Now for BOTB2, I made a Facebook event post so you can now RSVP if you're thinking about attending (http://www.facebook.com/events/161233207359585/). Also gathered up a bunch of more sponsors for the event= and got a gang of more items for the raffles & whatnot. I would really love for all my SoCal peeps to attend my event but in the scenario that DOA does get in the NCR lineup then I will not have a single grain of salt in my body if you don't make it to my tournament. I'd much rather have our game be presented to the other fighting game communities at high profile event like NCR.
BUT IF DOA DOESN'T GET INTO NCR, then I hope my SoCal peeps DO MAKE IT TO BOTB2. I know there's at least a few of the SoCal peeps that are interested in attending BOTB2 so you guys are really going to need to work together in terms or gas money and hotel costs in order to make it to SJ. I could probably house 2 or 3 people from SoCal that want to attend BOTB2 but any more than that then y'all are just going to have to get a hotel because it will be way too crowded at my house. I have no problem chipping in on a hotel if that's what it comes down to.
Don't hesitate to message me if you have any questions at all.

The Super Turbo community already asked. It ain't happening at NCR. Maybe that will allow an opportunity for DoA if the support keeps getting shown. I'm liking the way that Nykko is planning what to do. I'll contact Kineda as well and show my support. Everyone else should too, and spread the word to SoCal brethren.
Hey shytzoo, it turns out that I can't make it tonight. Do you hold gatherings every week? I should be able to catch up with you guys a different weekend.

not every week. it's kinda irregular. sometimes i do every other week, sometimes it can be like a couple months. (at least the big sessions). I guess the smaller sessions i do pretty often so I can definitely hit you up when i do that.

What do you guys think of playing Tag for our gatherings? It seems pretty fun to play and it'd be nice to have two characters to use. We should get some sort of gathering sometime around the xbox patch, after we've gotten acquainted with the patch. (for the xbox guys =( )
It might actually get me to dust up my DOA5 copy to practice/create new combos. As of now, there's no motivation to do training mode, when I've got most of the needed mechanics down.
I'm not really interested in FSD's opinion on it because it won't affect 99% of them anyway.

Last night was awesome. Me, Nai and CrimsonCj chilling with Shytzoo at his place playing doa , drinking, eating and seeing other fighting game players. I'm still a bit messed up for all the drinking and only about 3hr sleep. Lets do it again, yo! lol
