Atlus will bring the game to the Americas, again.

The legendary fighters in the upcoming THE KING OF FIGHTERS XIV will be making their stateside debut thanks to a partnership between SNK PLAYMORE and Atlus U.S.A. The vaunted fighting game series, which first made its debut 1994, is entering a new evolution with THE KING OF FIGHTERS XIV thanks to series-first 3D graphics and debuting exclusively on the PlayStation 4 console. THE KING OF FIGHTERS XIV will arrive to consoles later in 2016.

THE KING OF FIGHTERS XIV Feature Details:

• 3D Evolution: All 50 fighters, movesets and more are rendered in full 3D graphics that preserves the essence of KOF's visual style but updates it with a whole new dimension.

• The Best Refinement since KOF '98: Through extensive playtesting and balancing, the controls have been streamlined, and the Combo and Max Mode mechanics have been overhauled to create the most competitive fighter in SNK's history.

• The KOF Saga Continues: There's a robust single-player storyline where several years have passed since the previous KOF tournament. Now a worldwide business, the global KOF will decide who is the strongest as both individuals and companies with their own ambitions have come to compete. Players compete against CPU-controlled opponents to unlock the storyline.

• The Best Roster Yet: There are 50 fighters total, with 31 returning from previous entries into the KOF series, and 19 brand new characters. All 50 characters will be available at the game's launch.

• Revamped Online Experience: THE KING OF FIGHTERS XIV has devoted a lot of development time to improving the game's netcode for vastly improved online gameplay. KOF XIV uses the PS4's online architecture to have a whole host of online conveniences, from spectating to saving replay/battle data, and having a single online KOF XIV profile to connect with friends.

Great great news.

Welp at least the translation is gonna be good. KoF XIII was hilarious in a good way and not Google Translate hilarious in a bad way like games before it. Lobbies are already looking to at least have the necessities of a fighter with online at least. Siliconera said something bout online training mode too.

She's back... (Finally) <3

EDIT:
Just a repeat of what I stated on SRK:
Okay... just some minor details based on the trailer. Same routine as another favorite of mine: Geese Howard.

Mai clearly has Kagerou no Mai but it seems to be a DM this time around.
Once again, Mai can combo after her air Musasabi but appears somewhat situational. She got a st.C off of it but I want to believe that she can get something else off of it this time around.
Based on the very start of the trailer, there is a chance that Mai also has a variation of her Neo Max (which is actually a glorified version of a DM she had way before XIII).
(or that she was just simply using her backwards ground Musasabi to jump away from the opponent and stick to the wall).
0:11 - Standardized combo: close st.C to Ryuuenbuu (qcb+P).
0:15 - I am guessing that this is her f+B, but this time she starts off with a jumping knee strike into an rising jump kick follow up. May require two button inputs (f+B,B... sort of like how Kyo's qcf+K,K is done but we are not sure yet). Whatever the case, it causes a juggle state and she can follow up after it.
Ukihane (j2B) is back. One of Mai's more annoying moves. In XIII, the lower you perform the move, the more frame advantage you get on block (that is, if they can block it. It is a good idea to use this move on the opponents wake-up because the player can make it ambiguous. You can also use it to change the trajectory of her jump. That aspect also applies to her air Musasabi. I also suspect that you cancel into air Musasabi after Ukihane for as long as you "contact" the opponent (works on hit or on block. Not on whiff).

Aaaand... that is all I got from it so far.

MAI IS IN THE HOUSE.

Finally. She looks great, as usual. Totally in love. I like this new version of her XIII costume.
Let's hope her moveset will be better than in KOF XIII.

About that new male ninja. OMG, the name... LOL! SNKP really have sense of humor. I liked his moves and how he sees Mai as a superior ninja to teach him. I'm considering to put him in my new XIV team.

Wow, this time actually both look great! O: Mai and the new character, who has a very cool design! A Latino/South American ninja? I'm also amazed they didn't try to revise Mai's character design and that she looks even better than before...including boob jiggle. XD
