Like that matters, I liked her before you did you traitor! My bitch!

How about we all "share" her? The majority of players who never liked tengu-do the first time around are probably going to drop her anyway. XD

Never! He dumped her on the street when his friend took the change and I accepted her since then.

None of that made any sense.

I was there since the start, SHE'S mine!!

Oh really? You mained Bankotsubo in DOA2, DOA4, and DOAD?

Having a chance at an actual personality other than generic doomsday villain helps too

Right. Because her personality is so different.

True. My thoughts on all the bandwagon hype (I'm the one off shot and the bandwagon is reading the book).

Also, holy shit! I actually received alerts for Brute and DestructionBomb tagging me. Speaking of which, I'm looking forward to that video, DB.

I honestly don't know if people are going to stick with her or not. It depends on whether she comes out with some braindead gimmicky bullshit like launch Rachel, I suspect.

Regardless, I do find the bandwagon hype hilarious for all those many, many reasons. Not to sound like a stupid hipster, but it's kinda putting me off of the character.

I'm more interested in fighting her with Mila. Was hoping I'd get to see how she matched up with Bankotsubo, but I guess I'll have to accept this. Does anyone know how different from man-tengu she is?

Yes and no. The short version is that we should all shut up about it before we run our mouths on something we don't have access to.

The long version has been discussed many times and it basically boils down to the short version in the end.

Not entirely, since she isn't out to the masses yet. So far though, she doesn't seem too different at neutral, but she'll actually have juggles now.

As Brute said though, we don't really know yet, so there isn't much of a point in discussing it.

One thing is certain though; she's still fucked at "GET READY! FIGHT!"

I agree, it's happened with every DLC character. You have everyone saying "they're gonna be my new main", now we have like what, two Phase 4 mains? Trust me, the hype's gonna die out with Nyo, as well.

So you're saying that both gnooz and the woman in your gif are ugly and need plastic surgery?

I'm confused.
Let's just say that judging people's looks has always been a pet peeve of mine. At least I'm aware I'm no prize myself, no matter how much makeup I apply once a week.

Great job, taking my post seriously...when we did this shit last time.

Oh really? You mained Bankotsubo in DOA2, DOA4, and DOAD?
No, but how does that work for your point? I CHOSE not to play him because he didn't appeal to me, are you trying to imply something? I already explained myself numerous times why I haven't touched Bankotsubo or why I barely even remember him, don't start pulling crap that I have to play him seriously and THEN, I can care about a damn sprite swap I find more interesting than the original(Oh Leon/Rachel players)

Right. Because her personality is so different.
You know what her goals are already? Because past a conflicting basis between the ENG and JPN websites, we don't even know what the real reason she's even in the tournament is.

I honestly don't know if people are going to stick with her or not. It depends on whether she comes out with some braindead gimmicky bullshsit like launch Rachel, I suspect.

Then why don't we wait till then before people start pulling out cards. Shit, I've been dead serious since she has been announced on how much it may actually help Bankotsubo actually get some fans, how much I actually wish I experimented with his moveset atleast once, and even wished DOAD made him more relevant than Ryu's bitch(which I already have an issue with him "helping" Kasumi and making Ayane singlehandedly kill Raidou pointless and make Hayate even more worthless).

Sorry I havent played Tengu in a long time, you're referring to slow moves right?

Let's just assume that your opponent is going to start the round with either their fastest high, mid, or low. Bankotsubo essentially lost to everything at round start.

His fastest high would lose to their fastest high, fastest low, and most characters' fastest mid.
His fastest mid would lose to their fastest everything.
His fastest low would lose to their fastest mid and fastest low.

His best offensive options at round start were either P+K (i12 high) because it's his fastest attack, or 2P (i15 low) because it crushes highs. That's a high/low mixup, which is gimmicky and not practical. They can avoid both options by just blocking low, or holding low. Mids are not good options at all (because his fastest one is i16), unless you try to back away and your opponent doesn't chase after you, giving you enough space to throw out a mid and maybe not get counter blown in the process.

Other than that, he just had to block or make a guess and hold. Your opponent should be aware of his limitations here and be able to fuck you up for it. They can pretty much just keep alternating between a few attacks that will beat everything Bankotsubo can do here, so that they 1) shut down his offensive options and 2) force him to start opening rounds by blocking or holding so that they can then just throw him at round start.

Again this is just assuming that the opponent will always start with one of their fastest attacks, and obviously yomi and luck can change how round start works for you (I won't bother getting into that or what I liked to do), but generally speaking, this is an absolutely abhorrent part of the round for Bankotsubo.

For Nyotengu, her fastest high and mid are now each one frame faster than before (the low is the same), so it's a little better for her, but not by much. Her fastest mid will still lose to the opponent's fastest everything, but her high can now beat out most mids. It is however, extremely unsafe now and will likely be very predictable.

I understand, thanks for the crash course.
