@werewolfgold does this give a specific date as to when the carnival is? Pachincko said late summer so I was wondering if it mentioned a month.

We've been curious since it's possible that a character will be revealed during that time.

U guys still on the kof thing?

Im gonna start a campaign soon... For DOAxVF.

All I ask is pls dont derail the campain with such suggestions and keep it to the casual thread. As much as I like KOF.. it is unrealistic for the folliwing reasons:
- 2D vs 3D (pls dont bring up 3D kof)
- projectiles
- 4 buttons vs 3
- time, money and R&D
- the owner of snk playmore is a deranged alcohilic with a backwards mind... Look it up
- game lost all its flavor in the last 2 iterations

Capcom did a great job with cvs 1 and 2 and a 3 wont even get an ok from snks side (as well as crapcom).. what happens behind the curtains is very different from what u hear in the media...

In other news...
PSYCHO BAAAAAAAAALL

have a nice day

Nope. It literally says in the yellow bubble that details will be announced at a later date.

DOAxKOF might work... But not as a fighting game.
As an anime/manga?
There is always that trading card game that seems to have cards from all these different series. Weiss Schwartz or something. But, that's not my scene...

If it were a card game crossover, I prefer that the DOA characters become duelists for the next Yu-Gi-Oh! series.

It's easy to think up the monster cards each DOA character would use in their decks.

Trading cards can work I guess...

SNK VS Capcom: Card Fighters Clash was a successful trading card game (electronic), but I don't know if this success can be replicated :\. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there was a story in the game.

I feel this idea is now grasping at straws XD, unless you guys still think something can work.

I meant if DOA and KOF were in 2D... But yeah everything is in 3D now so it won't work. Developers may think that a 2D style is like going backwards now >_<

I prefer it if 2D games stay 2D and 3D games stay 3D. I mean why develop something that isn't your forté?

We all know the catastrophe on the character models in SFxT due to the SFIV art style.

Exactly I loved the 2D style in SF back in the days (e.g. SFA3) - the SF4 art style looks extremely poor imo. I just can't... With better console specifications, the developers probably wanted to update the visuals with the times, where everything else was becoming 3D? It may also be that the majority of consumers were over 2D, I'm not sure.

Not everything that is 3D is good though even if Capcom was simply following trends of other gaming companies. It is just not their thing, even if they had attempted it back then with the Street Fighter EX series.

That said, I don't mind if they level up the Rival Schools or the Power Stone series, provided that they stay faithful to the old art style but judging SFIV/SFxT's horrible art style, I would probably let Atlus do the job. Project Justice was definitely on the right direction back then though.

There's no way a full TxSF will work. They aren't going to create 100 moves for each of the Street Fighter cast just for a once off game. Even if the full roster is 40 (Assuming 20 from Tekken, 20 from Street Fighter), it's way too much effort to add so many moves for the 20 Street Fighter characters.

The only way T x SF will work is if they do a Tekken 7 and have maybe up to 6 guest stars from Street Fighter. Ryu, Chunli, Zangief, Gen, Cammy and Yun or Yang would work.

I really think Yun/Yang/Gen and maybe Guy would be cool additions to TxSF.
