Its not about the console anymore. They already got the sales from that.. its almost a year now.
Its more about keeping and generating interest at the arcades, and for that reason alone I see a VF character very likely.
Also, The VF characters are more or less written up in a sense .. it would be far easier to transition a well made character than to make one from scratch.
If they're sticking to the VF1 cast then I see it being either Kage or Wolf ...
If they expand then maybe Aoi... but even Eileen (but more likely Aoi)

Sadly this. I don't think Kage would be popular at all past seeing how badly Ryu and any other ninja pastes his ass. Eileen(I know I'm spelling it wrong) and Aoi have a better shot easily, hell, That Eliot-type boy that everyone hates will have a better shot.

We already know for a fact the next character is most definitely going to be female as that is what sells best considering a good chunk of the fan-base are...well you know.
And I highly doubt at the moment we're going to have another VF character thrown in the mix. But I suppose anything is possible, only time will tell.
