But Ein was more interesting.
In what way...? I don't really see it in the things that he said or how he acted really. It was pretty standard things like "It was a good fight." and "Good Vibration!" (which I didn't really think made a lot of sense). Anything else that he said I can't really see as being more or less interesting than the stuff that Hayate says. How was Ein not just "there" until he realized who he was? Isn't that literally what happened? lol

A lot of characters haven't really made any accomplishments in the tournament/story either yet they still trump over Hayate any time of the day.
That makes no logical sense.

That makes no logical sense.
Ein was looking to find himself, and to find out why he was abandoned in that forest in Germany.
He joined the tournament and went on a Quest to find his Identity, while punching people through alot of walls while doing it.

Ein had a purpose in DOA2, he had a personal quest which he by himself completed, Hayate hasn't achieved anything of that kind.

Yes, he lead Mugen Tenshin's attack on DOATEC but if he was so great he could have done that alone but he didn't he needed the help of his sisters and best friend, and let's not even count how many times he's been captured and about how stupid Hayate is "Raidou is looking for Torn Sky Blast! I better stop him by using Torn Sky Blast and completely ignoring everyone telling me not too!"

Accomplishments:
Ein - 1
Hayate - 0

They are both relatively bland. Just Ein was noticeably less so due to fashion sense, personality, theme song, fighting style, and quite frankly even story despite how brief and cliche it was.

Ein was a Hayate whose progress bar had went into the negative. all he did was waste time wondering around with no memory once he got it back he was exactly where he was prior to that minus the broken spine. it wasn't until Hayate and company took down DOATEC that anything got really accomplished.

And people give him too much shit over that torn sky blast. Hayate's intention was to kill him i don't think he expected the guy to have the fucking sharingan and be able to copy it right then and there.

I think we're supposed to assume canonically that Hayabusa helped slightly.

Yes, he lead Mugen Tenshin's attack on DOATEC but if he was so great he could have done that alone but he didn't he needed the help of his sisters and best friend
Hayabusa "the solitary super ninja" doesn't even end up doing things "alone" if you play through the Ninja Gaiden games.

and let's not even count how many times he's been captured
Twice? Once when he was in a coma (which kind of makes it everyone else's fault, too, doesn't it?) and the second in DOA5. But, honestly, who took him the first time? Kasumi Alpha, who wouldn't have existed had Kasumi not have gotten captured first. And then in DOA5, in that scene, 1. if he had let Ayane run in, she perhaps would've gotten captured instead, 2. If they reeeeally wanted Ayane regardless she still probably would've gotten lasered. They wanted Hayate specifically.

and about how stupid Hayate is "Raidou is looking for Torn Sky Blast! I better stop him by using Torn Sky Blast and completely ignoring everyone telling me not too!"
"Everyone" being Ayane. Probably wasn't gonna win without a "last resort" though. Clearly, Ayane didn't do that great against him. And canonically (now) Kasumi apparently couldn't beat Raidou without shenanigans either.

Ya know, I don't even like Hayate that much. I'm just not feeling the logic that supposedly places him so far beneath all the other ninjas (or Ein) all things considered. You can't even hold the "too emotional" thing that Ryu was talking about against only him because apparently none the ninjas are immune to that either (even Ryu...?). Kasumi ran away from the frickin' village in the first place. And Ayane...is Ayane.

I actually really want to like Hayate, I like his playstyle and his moveset. His character is just too passive for me though it doesn't really stand out, where as Ein does to me atleast.

This is it. Kasumi is the hero, Ayane is the rival, and Hayabusa has his own damn series. Hayate doesn't stand out too much, and has the history of making poor decisions, whereas Ein has a cooler story, bitchin' shades, and has canonically beaten Kasumi. In all honesty, Hayate needs his own DOA title like Ayane originally got with DOA3.

Hmmmm i'd love Hayate way more if TN gave him an input (like a taunt) to change his moveset to Ein's during a fight. It would be a nice gimmick. Hayate is fun to use, but he doesn't stand out compared to the other ninjas (and characters).

I know people would hate this option, but I'd love that.
Then Hayate would be probably banned at all tournaments and all the competitive Hayate and Ein players would be really pissed off.

I think it's better if we could choose his fighting style before a fight. If we were to switch fighting styles in between a fight, who knows what kinds of shenanigans we will encounter.
