Honestly, they shouldn’t have even accommodated for last gen consoles in the first place.

They were too greedy, that was the problem. They didn't want sales on over 150 million old consoles slip through their fingers, even if that meant selling a shit product to those console owners. That's really on CDPR and absolutely awful of them. They even tried to hide everything by not sending out console review codes until release and by providing early access only to influencers that very chummy with them.

What does anyone thing about the new King of Fighters? The two KoFXV trailers that have been released so far:

While still not a beauty by any means (SNK seams to struggle with 3D graphics) the art style and graphics did improve significantly from KoFXIV to KoFXV, I give them that.
I also think many of the default character designs, that were often really lame and unmemorable in XoFXIV, look to have improved a lot. Going from random anime boy Kyo...

...back to badass leather jacket Kyo is a huge improvement.

Shunei has to be one of the most ridiculously overdesigned characters ever though, lol...

I have mentioned Genshin Impact in here before. I'm playing it for an ungodly amount of hours already and also some time on PS5. It looks absolutely magical on there, especially in the right light:

I wished more open world JRPGs looked like this. Or lemme rephrase that and wish for more open world JRPGs in general as they are extremely rare. :/

A bit of a shame the game will be cross gen and not entirely made for PS5, but I guess we'll see tomorrow how much of an impact that will have.

I have to applaud them for that. I have a lot of respect for them reviving VF like that. If only DOA was doing good

2 things to keep in mind with VF5US.
1. it's still a game from 2006
2. it's using the Dragon Engine (Yakuza 6 Judgement Yakuza Like a Dragon) an engine that isn't the best know for being good at optimisation. it's very possible the game looks "dated" on purpose to keep the game stable? either way the fact they updated the look and models of the stages and characters at all is something I wasn't expecting at all I 100% expected to just see VF5FS at 1080p and nothing more.

The graphical update is bigger than I first thought. It looks as if they completely overhauled the assets of characters and stages. That being said, I'm still not a fan though. Some characters and their faces look outright weird. And I hate that hair dithering:

I guess that would be gone in 4K resolution, but there seems to be no plan for a PS5 update. :/

Ratchet & Clank is an absolute beauty and the by far most beautful and polished visuals I have seen in a game. It has to be seen running on your TV to be believed. Static screens or compressed online video footage don't do it justice, but here are the first screens that I took of it in-game anyway.
