I've been using that Kazuya EWGF tutorial you put up earlier, man, I realized I suck at doing the EWGF v_v;;

here's a decent video on Korean Back-dashing (KBD). I'm not a huge fan of it, but it shows you.

Consistent WD and Electrics are something that takes a lot of practice. Even I tend to drop mine when I'm not at the top of my game.

Personally, I pick Hei, because he's the hardest to use and just do WDs and Electric for a few hours in 1P and then switch to P2 side and do the same. You'll notice a visible improvement when you start doing better, as long as you keep practising.

The thing about WD is to not do it too soon and have a rhythm. You're not gonna intimidate anyone more if you do it a little faster. Just be consistent, no matter the speed. If they other notices you're consistent, they'll be conservative.

KBD should be easier and error prone if you do a db at around 30 degrees rather that 45. Thankfully I play not characters with sway-backs.

Been working on Nina's iws1 stuff, I find it pretty hard. So many little things to practice. Gotta get Isw as well.

When you guys do KBD do you ride the gate? For some reason I can only get it to buffer correctly when touching the wall. What bugs me is I can Kbd pretty well on 2p side for most except Lars. He kinda twitches out lol.As much as I look at the animation I can't get it fast enough to hide the duck. Maybe it is my method that makes it tough.

Honestly I KBD pretty well with Jack-6 on pad, but I'm switching to stick and it is SO fucking hard honestly. My movement just goes to garbage when I pick up the stick and its so frustrating, not only to not be able to KBD but also I try sidestepping and just jump like an idiot. It literally feels like my hand goes fuckin retarded.

As for the EWGF's, I usually pick Kaz just because its who I'm planning on using and I know him. Although now that I somewhat have a feel for Kaz I'm kind of thinking of switching to DJ. I practiced for about an hour and a half just practicing EWGF last night. I hear in TTT2 its a 4-frame window rather than 1-frame though, which should make it easier. I was gonna go to the mall tonight and see if it felt easier.

I can't answer your Nina related questions, but if you're finding it hard to KBD, don't try doing it too quickly. That might actually end up being counter productive in the long run. Easiest way to do it to just to reverse WD motion with a dash like this:

:4::4: N :214:, :4::4: N :214:, :4::4: N :214:.

If your character has a sway, then don't use the method above and instead try and do this:

:4::4: N :1::4:, :4::4: n :1::4:, :4::4: N :1::4:, :4::4: N :1::4:.

You need lots of time to get used to this. Time is what you need for this kind of game, really.

It takes a long time for a pad player to successfully migrate to stick. It was the same case with me about a year ago, until I started going back to arcades again.

To SS towards the background, try and be soft with the stick and get it back to neutral quickly. Tap and release. Tap and release. You can move onto more advanced stuff once you get that down. A lot of very good players also rarely do the hop too, so don't feel bad about it.

I don't know about DJ, but Kaz is the only one I know with the 4-frame Electric window. Hei's is a JF, hence why he's the only Mishima I play.

What stick do you use?

Awesome info

That SFIV Hori TE I linked at amazon.com a page ago. It's a good stick as far as I know, I just hate playing stick period, but its more convenient than lugging around two controllers, its easier to do Brian's taunt cancels (as well as default 1 and 2 grabs) and I seemingly EWGF better on it. It's just that my movement goes straight garbage, and as Bruce Lee said, movement is 90% of the fight. I'd read somewhere on TZ that all the Mishama's were JF in T6, but yeah, I didn't check the Hei or DJ boards for TTT2, only Kaz, because DK impressed me so much.

Oh also, I was doing research, in T6, notation for KBD should be
:4:, :4:,:214:,:214:,:214: so on so forth, unless you have a backsway character, then no :2:

Thanks for the advice. I do it like this. :4::4::1:*:4::1:*:4: etc. Getting the free back is pretty tricky though.

I have more problems with stair stepping on 1P side. When you look at the movement from the arcade players, everything is like a micro movment. Pressing up after the back back feels akward. Maybe I should use my fingers to press back and my thumb to press and down.....hmmm. Yay for random ideas!

Nooo, dude. Taunt cancels, especially with Jet Upper is not easy. You need a lot of practice, muscle memory and precise timing with that. Plus with the fact that it's not exactly a safe thing to do.

The thing is that the way you're doing it, you're prematurely cancelling the back dash and not letting the full dash to occur. There are a couple of ways you can do it, but SSing towards the forground at least ensures that you hit that neutral anyway and it's like the most basic and safe way you can do the cancels. Only thing that can beat it is a quick tracking move. Characters that track well to their left can beat you out of your dash cancel and it can cost you a match, not to mention characters with quick tracking moves like Leo. So, obviously, this is better for 2P side.

Try and hit the db (:1:) at 30 degrees to ensure you don't hit the d(:2:) when backdashing and hitting neutral.

If you're unsure, then just hold the second back and don't do anything too risky.

The weird thing is I avoid the problem when I play Dragunov. It feels almost as if Lars ducks faster then him. You can see me not cancel the duck fast enough. It really just makes him looks stupid lol. Oh well, nothing more practice will not fix. Playing on stick feels a lot more rewarding in Tekken. The learning curve was well worth it. I will keep your tips in mind.

The DLC content is locked on disc. All the files are 100kb unlocks.

Check Euro PSN just in case I'm understanding things the wrong way.
If true that was some cheap promotional garbage trick.
I know DOA5 probably is doing the same but them cashing in the DLC this, this ,this kinda feels a bit cheap after seeing that to be honest.

Still buying the games but this DLC stuff is kinda depressing.

All the dlc will become available for free eventually, it's just an incentive to get people to preorder it.
