Fighting style and series importance issues aside, Kula was always a favorite of mine but she seems different; she was never really a loli even though she was underage (obv there’s a difference). When I first started playing KOF years ago I didn’t even think Kula was 14 because SNK didn’t really make her as “kawaii” as she is now. It could just be how the artists used to draw all the females because this happened to Athena and Yuri too but Kula seemed a lot older back in the older games. They also didn’t play up her childish side all the time. She was still super naive and liked sweets and stuff but she was a lot more composed for being a little girl in a teenager’s body.

She used to be a kween, but now SNK’s taking such a cool (hehe) character and are starting to present her a lot more cutesy than she already was with much younger, generic-looking faces/expressions. She was simple and badass back then!!

I’m really hoping her DOA6 model does her justice or at least makes her look awesome again because I never liked how SNK kept making her look younger and younger. And now people are calling her a loli alongside the likes of NiCO and Marie and it’s like... she never used to be that way!! If they make Kula a baddie again I wouldn’t be completely against her inclusion but if she’s just NiCO with longer hair, ice powers and Honoka’s personality count me out lol.

I agree with everything you said, except the fact that Honoka has a personality. Even Siri has more of a personality than Honoka.

Goddamn I am out of the loop lol, As usual this thread stopped giving me alerts so I just thought no one was posting/there was no news. Only to find out there was like 10 new pages and Kuja has been 100% confirmed. Not super sure how to feel about it, For one I am completely unsurprising cause I think this launch a lot of us saw Kuja coming. I would have liked to have been surprised though with a none loli character though but alas it is what it is. I for one will definitely be giving Kuja a chance though since honestly I've never played a KOF game before so I don't really know the characters so I'm not disappointed by it being Kuja over another character.

I just really want to actually see them now, Mai I doubt will look super different from how she appeared in doa5 but Kuja I'm definitely interested to see.
( Also I forgot but besides Kuja and Mai are any of the other characters getting outfits in June? )

It looks like something else to me, but I will agree that it cannot be finished. Effects shown in this video are revolting.

As he says in the video description, he can't swap 3D effects so what the game is doing is handling 3D lightning models with Kula's ice effect textures. That is why its behaviour isn't like ice.

I'd rather have Axel and Blaze from the Streets of Rage series. With SOR4 out later this year, and Sega backing the inevitable arcade version in Japan, I wouldn't be surprised if they were timed arcade exclusives.

Its kula, not kuja lmao! The rest wont get DLC, only Kula and Mai get a debut set

Last time, Mai got 1 recolor and everything else she EVER got were existing themes like cheerleader or Santa (the only costume theme every girl got in doa5, Sarah and Pai never got cheerleader outfits). I personally like to think that Mai got so few costumes last time because they were saving the good stuff for now.


Given how often the stuff for doa6 has disappointed though, it's likely they'll just get some uncreative recolors and nothing more EVER
