We all knew Rachel was coming back but I'm a bit surprised she was announced long before her release. Didn't they only confirm Momiji a week before she was out? Rachel is probably releasing 2nd week of December.

I guess now was just the best time to announce her...

Also, I would have preferred they just recycled her pirate costume for one of the Halloween costume packs from last game rather than giving her one of the existing designs, that would have been a LAZIER option.

I think the XVV character will be Kanna, but I guess Misaki is the game’s mascot.
Don’t forget about the three free outfits over the next patches

Shimbori said that he was looking into player feedback at the festival.

I have played trash games. DOA6 isn't one of them just because you are not wowed.

I stopped being wowed by games a long time ago and it's not the only reason I play them.

Rachel actually wowed me though and iDGAF what anyone has to say about her or the game at this point.

The game ain't going anywhere.

I don’t like the idea of a VV girl joining, but if it’s Nagisa, Tamaki or Kanna I’m okay with it. They’re all 3 really cool looking. Adding another entity like Kanna would be interesting.

Momiji was revealed 2 weeks before her release. Rachel is revealed 4 weeks before she got released. It was logical to reveal Rachel at the biggest DOA event of the year. Also, the debut set exists out of DLC of the current game.

I commend TN for adding new hairstyles for some characters, I hope this becomes a returning trend. It actually gives me hope for the design contest DLC because the characters might get new hairstyles.
Now, if they add story DLC, Stage DLC, fix some stages, make regular force techs a thing I’m all in DOA6.

This is only my guess and i don't know the truth but i think they don't do male costumes anymore since you can buy costumes seperated now. When they still did packed costumes only they could sneak males in because they knew female characters will carry those packs and people will buy them. Now people buy stuff seperated so "nobody" doesn't buy male costumes.

Of course i may be wrong too.

Honestly, I think it's really sad if this is the best they can do.

Rachel?, ok, I don't play grapplers but a lot people was asking for her. It's good even if we already knew they were working on her.

But ... no new stages (not even the fuc**** story stages), nothing about new mechanics or bringing back DOA 5 ground game, nothing about fixing input delay, nothing about WC 2020 and now they are breaking Shimbori's promise of not adding VV characters to the main games.

Everything was about costumes and female characters. Holy shit I'm not against fanservice but they ONLY deliver fanservice with this game. Do you remember all these long 9 months about "toning down" in every single interview?, Shimbori either.

Same sis. This what I had in my mind basically since the game came out. Because they were doing packs, there was no choice but to add the male characters too because
  1. They had just 2 costumes on release
  2. Since it was an entire pack, adding them would make no difference on whether the pack was gonna sell more or less since the customers would purchase it anyway due to having the girls on it.
Like, its obvious that was the case. However, now that we have the option to purchase them individually, they quickly threw the male characters into the trash again and will just start pumping shit out for the girls with occasionally one or two packs for the men per season, like they used to do in DOA5. The only problem is that here is worse because we all know the amazing V A R I E T Y the male cast has received when it comes to their wardrobe (literally the same crusty costume for every single male with some of them being lucky enough and getting it with a recolored texture lmao).

I'm dastardly disappointed in the selection for Zack's costumes. As the Americans would say, they 'did him dirty' for 6 costume-wise.

I am so happy that Rachel will be back. :thumbs up::D

The next costume pack looks nice, too. Unfortunately, I recently watched some old DAO5LR costume pack announcement videos again. Watching just the huge variety of costumes for example the Halloween 2017 pack brought into the game is an ugly reminder that nowadays the designers are on a strict creativity diet. :(

You not playing grapplers is completely irrelevant to the topic; especially when the game needs more of them. I'm just glad it's not another freaking Kasumi or some soft & gentle ninja that comes off as a generic anime personality. We already knew you didn't play or use Rachel, much like we knew they were already working on her so?

Can I see a link of where it was "promised" because in the interviews I read it was more of a "it couldn't or wouldn't happen."

I think just calm down and wait. Nobody is forcing you to play after all. I'm glad they aren't toning it down anymore than they have. Really tired of completely dressed characters just to make Sony happy.

I play my games on PC where the online is free, the graphics are better and the games aren't censored all the time. Every time I play on Playstation I am reminded by how awful the loading times are and that this system should be buried six feet under the ground.

The main problem with DOA6 is that a chunk of tournaments are still being played on Playstation just because they are popular in Japan I guess?

I can't say I won't use Rachel but even so I'm happy for the people that was asking for her?, because I'm being way more nicer than when people were giving their "opinions" about Momiji and Kula.

"Just wait" is their slogan since launch. It has been 9 months since launch. DOA 5 Ultimate was released 12 months after DOA 5 launch.

They didn't want to toning down due Playstation, mainly because Soul Calibur VI has a hentai artist working on it and they didn't have to censor anything. What I'm pointing is Shimbori said A and now it will be B, there's no consistency in this game direction.

And the main reason why tournaments are played on consoles is because it's cheaper and easier to do it that way. That's something that will never change.

The new director is Yamima. Apparently from what I hear, he wasn't a fan of DOAVV/DOAX series but he has to do what he has to do.

It's not like he has a boss above him or anything.
