AYANE, WHAT DOES THE SCOUTER SAY ABOUT HIS POWER LEVELMaster posted this:
That's Nico's eyepiece from the season pass so it looks like any new eyewear they add for characters can be used by anyone :-D
seriously. it's very lacking and the introduction of meter is still ehh for me.Though I like the demo vanilla 6 is looking to be one of the most lacking DOA games with content, coming from 5LR or even vanilla 5 it totally doesn't feel worth full price. I guess the new mechanics and quest mode compensate that to a degree but at least we had tag and more costumes before. Pretty clear it'll be a DLC focused game again but it just kinda pushes me away from wanting to pay full price on launch.
Idk maybe LR spoiled me a bit
I'm really not seeing the lack of content, It has loads to me. More than doa5 vanilla had for sure.
In terms of costumes the thing is, most of the outfits Christie and some of the other ladies got in 5 were new outfits on a brand new model. 6 recycles/touches up her preexisting DOA5 model and only gave her 2 new outfits so it’s like there’s less “new” things to see. In 5 vanilla, wasn’t Christie’s only returning outfit her DOA3 default? Plus like I said earlier, it was on a new model style so it felt more like something we haven’t seen beforeLol I'm holding to it, It has more content than Doa5 vanilla it just does. I feel like a lot of people are forgetting that doa5 vanilla didn't have the whole photomode and watching videos mode for one thing which doa6 does. Doa6 also has the quest mode feature with the closet and more customization options than doa5 vanilla had. Plus just using Christie as an example -
Christie's default outfits in DoA5 (excluding recolors ) - 5
Christie's default outfits in DoA6 (excluding recolors ) - 5
So no..I don't support the idea that content is lacking in comparison to DoA5 vanilla.

- DOA5 had watch mode and photo mode day one.
- DOA5 had 20 stages, DOA6 has 14.
- DOA5 had multiple intro and victory poses per character, DOA6 has just one per character.
- DOA5 had 44 costumes for male characters, DOA6 has just 21.5.
- DOA6 has DOA Central, but you could select nearly all of that (different costumes, different recolors, different hair, differet glasses, different underwear in DOA5 too, just a little less practical.
Wait really? DoA5 had the spectator mode in vanilla? I could a sworn they showed that off then 5 Ultimate was coming out as If it was a brand new feature? Same with the watch mode to see the win and lose poses and the whole beach gravure videos? Same with stages, I thought doa5 had 15 at launch? Obviously there's certain things I can concede that DoA5 vanilla has/had over DoA6 ( Like more intro and victory poses ) but even then I still feel like DoA6 has a good amount of content for launch and I'm happy with what's there.
To be totally fair about the stages though. 6 of the stages listed there are literally just a box with electric walls or floors or both. Sakura and Temple are part of the same stage, Flow and Primal are part of the same stage, and they listed The Show twice because of the tiger variant (Still not a "Seperate" stage.). These dynamic changes are a great thing that I liked about these stages in 5 but seperating them out to pad the count is just a bit... Sketch. Come on. I'm not defending 6's stage selection, it's lacking, but let's not sit here and pretend like 5 Vanilla was a shining example itself. There were 9 good stages in 5 Vanilla. DOA 6 is going to have 8 depending on your preference and I don't think that's as shit as some of y'all are taking it.All DOAs since DOA2 had a spectator mode, and all after DOA2U had some sort of photo mode, basically to ogle at the character models.
About the videos of the victory and lose poses I am not sure... I think they might've introduced that feature in DOA5U. But does DOA6 have them? Why would they even need them with so few victory poses. The private paradise videos of course were added much later, but DOA6 doesn't have those either, and I hope it stays that way, lol.
About the stages, here IGN lists all of them, 20 total:

feel like stages are one of those things were ( number of stages aside ) it's going to depend mostly on taste whether you like doa5's or doa6's more.
Yes, IGN is counting some stage sections and levels as separate stages, but they actually are very different, like Flow and Primal or the Temple and Sakura. For DOA6 I also counted Miyabi and Hidden Garden as two separate stages to be fair. Apart from that the DOA6 stages hardly change on other levels or different sections. DOA5 stages change way more. Last but not least DOA6 even reuses DOA5's The Muscle and Sweat, DOA5LR's Crimson and Forgettable is also made up of reused stages. In all honesy, the stage selection of DOA6 is super poor even compared to DOA5's already lacking selection.
Come on, DOA6's stage selection is by all accounts inferior. Stage count, stage variety, by size, by stage sections and levels, and artistically.
The fighting game bar has dropped so low to the point where having both basic arcade and mission modes counts as “packed full of content” zzzzzzzz
I respect your point of view and opinion greatly Tyaren. ♥ They're both bad personally but my final count of 9 vs 8 is the most fair and I stick by that because no matter how dynamic the stage change is the end result for both Temple to Sakura and Flow to Primal is basically a box. On DOA6's credit Unforgettable looks like it's going to be a ton of fun to fight in. But this is all subjective really. I understand our opinions on DOA5 vs DOA6 are different and that's okay. You have a right to be disappointed no argument. I just don't think 5 vs 6 stage wise is as bad as it seems.Yes, IGN is counting some stage sections and levels as separate stages, but they actually are very different, like Flow and Primal or the Temple and Sakura. How can you look at that IGN list and honestly believe that the stage selection doa6 is poor compared to doa5 vanilla? Half of these stages are brown and grey boxes where nothing is happening. doa5 had like 4-5 good stages, the rest was introduced in one of the updates that followed. I think at this point you're desperately trying to find new things to complain about.
Really? I'm actually surprised you saying that since I always thought you weren't a big fan of the stage selection in doa5?
