Yeah, I agree. Your's is way better. I really hope Leon gets it.

Surprisingly good handwriting, though. But my point was that the design may be too simple or plain for TN, even though the point of Mila or Leon is to be practically simple. maybe I should add more details, like bandages further up the right arm with no glove, and only glove on left arm, with some flaps onthe coat. wwith Mila, may hafta add an emblem on back of jacket, change sports bra from plain white like her c6, to dual colored like her c1, and wear fingerless grappling gloves over the full arm handwraps. details, details..well seeing how this is our only comp for potential Leon submissions...i don't think you have anything to worry about @Argentus

if I recall, they showed obvious interest in some submissions by asking questions, asking for more details, retweeting, and generally following up on submissions.
I should surely hope not. Because then we'll just get more stupid slutsuits and fapbait for the token favorite females characters yet again.
This is TN's chance to give the dedicated fanbase some of the designs they've always wanted for characters that have been neglected in favor of the "sex sells" rap.
No they didn't i know exactly what you're referring to. The person who submitted asked if they should add more details and notes, TN simply responded to the question.

hopefully that's the case. I really want the Mila and Leon outfits in game. actually, since you pointed that out, @DontForkWitMe would you want to ask TN if there's anything that isn't clear with the Leon submission, or if they want it more detailed?

Havent logged into FSD for a while, though Ive still been lurking and playind some DOA. I submitted a quick costume for Hayabusa right when they announced the compitition. Something more simple, yet still ninja'ish. And recently added in some crude MS paint (haven't had the time to do things as i would like). Thought I would post it here to get FSD's opinion.

It is a great opportunity indeed, but was that really their goal? I might be wrong, but I think, this contest was made for publicity, lots of new ideas and free marketing research. What's it called again? Community Sourcing, I think!
But I also believe, if they choose winner costumes, they will be so fair to choose 50/50 male and female costumes. They did that with other sets, they released in the past and I believe, they will do this here as well.
Yeah, maybe. But that doesn't mean that "Team Ninja knows the best." It would mean "Team Ninja is the greediest."
Personally, I'm holding onto hope that TN is doing this for their dedicated fanbase rather than to get a few more quick bucks. If I'm right, that would actually help them in the long run financially as well (I believe).

2 Magazine exclusive costumes. 100% female
1 special Ragnarok costume. 100% female
1 fighter pack. 100% male
I'm not seeing parity at all. And IIRC the early DLC packs for vanillas had more female than male outfits, but I'd have to double-check.
What about the Halloween, Casual and Classic outfits? I think, these were done with the fans in mind. I also think, they will give the fans something after this competition is done. At least something, so they feel good after participating.

Not gonna lie though if they accepted this for Phase 4 and it won I would use it a lot. lol. It's a cool design:
I don't like completely the fanservice of the outfit, but actually I appear always more fond of it (overall because I love the idea of a cavia suit for Phase-4). By the way TN still not said if the outfit will be part or less of the competition.

Such contests are always done for the past games of DoA (at least for DoAXBV, DoA2U, DoA4) just that they were reserved only to the Japanese people. Similar occurrences allow to the community to appear dedicated to the game, working on something creative and at the same time showing interest for the game that they love.
Then of course every initiative toward a commercial product are always done for publicity, the difference is that some of them are at the same time oriented toward the listening of the fans, something always commendable in itslef.
