Me neither, I get it though that his personality was due to his upbringing and being taught that any soul tainted was evil and of course he'd go axe crazy since he believed a malfested killed his sister and mother, he's a perfect example of how how a child can quickly become misguided and affected by their lifestyle, even Pyrrah suffered because of everything she had been through.

Yeah I'm not sure how many of the new characters will be in the next game because of how SC5 and them were looked at by the fans, I can see a few new characters coming in SC6 and a few old characters like Taki and maybe Setsuka coming back and getting rid of Alpha Pat and Natsu.

Personally I can see fans feeling relieved that he won't stick around. I remember when he was announced in Lost Swords and everyone was like "nooooooo!". I'm glad that Daishi is no longer on the team. Maybe his ideas would've worked if it were for a new IP, but he shouldn't have had any say over Soulcalibur.
It's a good thing they did that poll. I'm assuming they wanted to make sure they knew exactly who the popular characters were when they made the roster for SCVI, so they don't screw it up like SCV.

They said they were "impressed" that the hero of SCV was so unpopular, even noting that Dampierre had almost twice as many votes as him. That comes off to me as them admitting that he was never a good character to begin with.
I didn't know they actually commented on the poll. Was there more they said?

Just that Patroklos was competitive in SCV, so that may have been a surprise to them.

Did people like Zwei? I wasn't a fan of him but I don't think we actually really learned much about him. I'd like Lexia and Natsu to return though I'd want Taki so they probably wouldn't have them both.
I liked him, I think he was nicely designed. I liked his default costume and the whole wolf fantasy motif. Overall I think his design stood well with and complimented Viola's own design, they were so great together despite not having an actual mutual relationship with each other, they were kinda just there with each other on their travels in story mode...

Yeah I hope Viola returns but I didn't say her since I'm sure she's Amy. Their designs definitely went well with the others.
One person I think they can keep in SC5 is the Lizardman. I liked him in Soul Calibur 4 because he was so cute.
In SC5 they kind of ruined him by giving him out of place wings and the ability to breathe fire, that kind of ruined his character for me. Plus he barely had a part in the story, I think Pyrrah had killed a Lizardman in her story mode.

Lol I thought the lizardman was cute too, But yeah he was strange design wise in SC5 but I'd like him in SC6 with his old look back for him again.
A character I've actually kind of forgot about but I think is a very awesome character is Hilde! I thought she had a really great design in SC4 when I first saw her there because she was fully in armour. I'd like to see her new design.

Hilde was a great design, she proved that a woman could still be beautiful and seductive without having to bare it all, and I loved her voice and personality, strong and brave and she was only 18 leading her Wolkthrone kingdom. :-o My favorite outfit she has will always be the armor dress she wore in SC4, that hime cut and beautiful dress made her look like a regal lady of war especially with that battle stance of hers.

She does? I'll have to look some up later, I was never able to find any good SC fan art when I search, but maybe there's some on like Pixiv and Zerochan. It would be cool if she and Cassandra knew each other like in the SC Broken Destiny port, their interactions in the omake game manual were so funny. XD
