Famitsu has announced that one of the two new characters is the Dead or Alive boss Raidou. He has been altered for his appearance in Last Round. His body has been augmented to cybernetic technology. He's not the same ninja he used to be, but Raidou displays a big build, electric moves and a cyborg body. If you thought he looked evil before... just look at him now. A menacing face, a darker tone, and the cyborg attributes really add an even scarier aspect to the Dead or Alive boss.

His story is as follows:

After being killed by an explosion during the First
Dead or Alive Tournament, Raidou was pieced back together,
outfitted with cybernetic parts, and brought back to life by
Donovan. As a side effect he has lost all memories of his past,
and retains only his natural lust for power.

Fighting Style:
Raidou's fighting style is Mugen Tenshin Ninjutsu at its core,
but he builds upon this with techniques he has stolen from
various fighters. Unlike fellow Mugen Tenshin Ninjutsu practitioners
Kasumi and Hayate, he favors moves that make the most of his size and power.
He has also developed some techniques of his own,
such as Tengeki-Gorai-Sho and Rekku-Jinraisatsu.

Additionally, the release showed a screenshot between Kasumi and Raidou. Some may recognize Kasumi's new outfit.

Raidou is the older brother of Kasumi's father Shiden, and biological father to Ayane. Known for being a copy-cat character, the exiled ninja ambushed the Mugen-Tenshin clan to steal their special technique: the Torn Sky Blast.

Combining his moveset with Genra sounds cool, I would've definitely mained him. They could've made a sword come out of his arm... Kind of a missed opportunity

Looking forward to play as it's been like ages since the last time I've used him (I didn't played Dimensions).

Looks like his moveset has been updated with almost everyone's arsenals. A little bit of Helena, Eliot, Mila and others as well. I wonder if he has a bokuho too lol. It would be awkward to see him on that stance. If I'll be able to pull out and get a hang of him he'll be one of my submains.

Hopefully he'll get some few descent outfits, preferably a cyborg outfit of some sort.

Interesting, He may become one of my mains however I find he truly may appeal more to Hayabusa players or at least players who feel comfortable with doing his types of grabs. Which would work for me as, Hayabusa is one of my 4 mains.

Fan of the look as in the entire outfit and arm and such. Personally though; don't like how he is so one tone though. His face also seems very lack luster in terms of detail and just seems kind of weird. Maybe its just me but I find it just looks odd if anything not bad or anything, or not even still great, but just doesn't seem complete yet...

Any who, his moves seem interesting in general and I look forward to playing as him, however some of his moves for me look kinda silly. Whilst I think his power blow is hilarious, I imagine him more as a big scary dude. Not someone who just sits there and trolls in a child like manner. Though this is probably the thing that will make me avoid him and pick up another before learning him I bet. Depending on how many I've already gone through. Ill probably leave Zack Bass for last. If I even practice Bass..

All in all, not psyched for this but hope the fans are happy, I just hope there is some other material buried within the confines of Team Ninjas knowledge that will bring some more hype for the game. Hopefully the "new female" character will be promising. I also hope the Raidu players get costumes that are both quality and quantity.

And the gender side note of the characters. Don't care, I like kimono with the big boobies and so and Raidu so. lol

 

Someone could translate what say his main profile, please? Seems to hint something more about his fighting style.

Don't understand the sex change/no sex change logic at all, but having Raidou back is cool.

Absolutely not a fan of his new cyborg look though. Hopefully he'll have his original/DOAD look as an alt.

Great, so it was indeed Raidou. I just hope we can get the other original outfits, even if the cyberbetic outfit is kinda cool, I'm not really a fan of it.

Awesome!!! I've never been a fan of him, but he actually looks decent as a cyborg. I'm kinda digging his residing, so I'll be picking him up for sure.
