The games looking great, this is why I never took the silly ps2 game era jabs at it's graphics seriously since it was clearly being worked on xD granted while I don't want her looking like a 2.0 port of Venus Vacation since this is the time to further flesh out the girls ps3 era model features with more realism, they definitely did a decent choice dialing it back a bit since I'm guessing the Japanese prefer her to look more animeish and less hyper realistic

I don't know, Nanami at least looks practically like a real life Japanese gravure model, imo. But again, visuals would be the least of my issues with this, if I feel it even is an issue at all. The animation is all that's seemed kinda wonky to me, facial expressions & lip synching and all that.
To be fair, Nanami is probably one of the more realistic face models in venus vacation that looks great imo, I think she's always had a great design in her facial features so they decided to retain it since they likely had no complaints from the Japanese about it, so I think they didn't need to really touch her. Misaki would have looked good with a more refined design but of course, people had to ruin a potentially unique thing and basically make TN give her back her less advanced venus face, but I'll take it.
The lip synch and such im sure they'll improve closer to release, it reminds me a bit of early doa6 since they didn't really have decent facial expressions but towards release they added better ones and improvements. They still got 4 months so I think they're being very careful to not show the games build's most recent and advanced potential so we can gradually see the refinements over time.

I don't think the animations are improving considering the short dev time of this game which is a tremendous bummer. The march 2025 release date probably won't get delayed since that's when the fiscal year closes. I'm getting flashbacks of DOA6 rushed march 2019 release.
If they don't do much else I can see them improving the game over time when it drops, i think X3 had something like that where there wasn't lip synch when it dropped initially but they eventually added it in along with other improvements. I say they delay it tho since game devs are quick to drop incomplete games full of bugs and issues to get day one sales and that winds up making up a good chunk of the game news and issues when it drops. Prism doesn't need that imo
Speaking of Famitsu, the issue covering the 7th anniversary is this coming Thursday, right?

To be fair the lip sync is still a lot better than some of the early reveals, like in the Nanami scene her lips at least kinda look like they are saying the words she's saying. In the Elise reveal they were not even close. Still not great mind you and the movements are still very robotic and stiff but it is "better".
I do agree Misaki got a bit of a glow up, she still looks off but she's good. Nanami has translated really well too I think, she's super pretty but I still say Tamaki is the best one so far.

I hope this coming year for DOAXVV, they either don't make us get the birthday suit just to get a new thing again, or if they MUST do it, at least not have it be a freaking episode. At least make it a furniture you unlock if you get the suit or something. This year was REALLY taxing financially-speaking due to having to focus on getting all those episodes, which I just barely managed to succeed in my goal there.
Oh yeah, and next year, they definitely need to implement a means to get old episodes like the With You live change episodes or the Xmas 2018 episodes, even if it's just buying them from the Girl Store or something, because they reissued those With You suits and yet failed to actually reissue the episodes themselves. I mean, one of the reasons I even had to bust my balls trying to GET those suits was to get the episodes when they are reissued, so failing to even reissue those episodes just defeated the whole dang purpose of reissuing the suits. Plus, reissuing episodes if anything would give players added incentive to try and roll for flashback gachas in addition to current gachas. And that's not even BEGINNING to get into how they really screwed up with releasing new girls again (we in effect only had one ACTUAL new girl this year, as Reika was more of a broken street date release). There are plenty of players who DIDN'T start out with those events, so it's actually a good way to incentivize them to buying stuff. They REALLY need to get back into doing their scheduling better, same goes for birthday reissues (we've only had Bouquet and Jewel reissued this year for Yukino, Shandy, and Amy, respectively. We have yet to get Stellar for Tina in the DMM version (also Amy, Shandy, Yukino, and Shizuku) , we've yet to get Makeup for any of the newcomer girls, etc., etc.).

Such poor quality coming from Team Ninja is very unusual and this looks so outdated by their own standards.
Glassy eyes, ratchet hair, nonexistent lip syncing, messy animations and lackluster visuals.. Is this all we can expect from them by now?
This is an utter nightmare.
Some recent pics i took of Kasumi, I got her parasol gravure yesterday since I realized I never finished her gravure panels when I shifted to my kokoro and momiji duo team back in August. Nothing altered besides some resahde enhancements for a more Euphoria vibe
God DAMN why can't those sandals be an option to wear? I can't stand bare feet xD
I lowkey also wish that they made all gravures possible for all girls, that or there were more. I dislike how Yukino only uses her phone in one when it's clear she's obviously a social media addict xD maybe a scene with her walking with it and drinking something like her pink lemonade would have been perfect but I think she'll likely get some good additions for her birthday hopefully

I think so. Next week is the game's anniversary so I think it will be featured this coming Thursday.
And speaking of the 7th anniversary, I think hope they will announce plans for OG girls.

Regarding strictly DOAXVV-based updates per deathofaninja's stipulation (even though, personally, I'd consider Prism the same IP since it's called Venus Vacation Prism and had Xtreme as a subtitle):
We're getting passes for the onsen stuff. Like with the autoplay passes, they're monthly and cost about 1000 DMM points.
The level cap has been increased to 97 for all girls.
Shandy's going to be included in the SSR Weekly guaranteed ticket lineup.
Both SR/SSR stuff, including stones, and also the gold Casino coins have had their caps increased. The latter specifically will have its gold coin cap increased to 24000.
The Anniversary event will entail gold cocktail dresses, and there's going to be a new locale/minigame present. Let's just say Shandy's getting a promotion from a poolside bar to her own indoor bar, and the minigame you play with her is cocktail mixing with specific drinks.
On that note, the birthday theme for this coming year is also cocktail-based, though it's unclear what it entails, including whether it will be like prior years where there isn't any strings attached that require getting the suit, or if it's like this year where they made it required to get the suit to get something in return (an episode more specifically). Personally, I hope it's, if not the former, then at least what the suit unlocks is something like a furniture, pose or prop rather than an episode. Only other thing I can glean is that the name is "Nocturne Outfit."
There's also going to be a new fan, colored white, which as the color scheme implies basically is the polar opposite of the black fan (ie, instead of destroy clothing with a wave, it instead repairs already destroyed clothing).

I still find it stupid that the WW steam version of XVV is so out of date in general. Just because it released a year later doesn't mean it shouldn't have all the content that was available in DMM version...even to this day Steam XVV is significantly behind DMM
