New stage is very likely DOA3's Azuchi

Doa3 has the best stages anyways, well doa2 has dragon hills and aerial gardens as well...

Anyways real glad Azuchi is coming back, one of my favorite stages.

Am I the only one who would've rather had doatec HK?

Especially if they modified it to have cars in the street and a new area to go between the street and lab after falling from the top floor

I would really like to see the Praire and the white storm come back if more stages stages are added. I'm still pretty content with the Azuchi, it's one of my favorite stages.

Wonder if the stage theme is just gonna recycle existing character themes again,
There's no pre existing themes that would really suit it, so I think they'll probably make a completely new track. Probably something traditional and oriental.

For me DOA3 is tied with DOA2U as the best DOA game. In DOA3 Hitomi was also my favorite character. She's changed so much since then... >__>

Team Ninja also seem to regard the DOA3 stages as the epitome and high point of the series themselves since they only take stages out of that game.

Quoted for the amount of truth in one post. This is all so true. :)

So is the ceiling directly above now? It used to be really high, right?

I would have preffered DOATEC HK or The Aerial Gardens, but Azuchi is always been one of my favourites arenas too and I'm glad to see its return (more, to get a Ninja stage it's always a win for me :p )

Azuchi's theme will probably come directly from the SW serie, since the caslt was built by Nobunaga himself during the Sengoku period and you actually have to fight him there sometimes (I think). Makes sense to have Azuchi as Naotora's home stage in DOA hehe.

This theme would work, even though I'd like an original composition from TN.

Background music from SW1 below (Azuchi). Sounds awful.

Well, it certainly fits her aesthetically. Was never my favorite stage, but it's a solid choice to bring back.

Hard to tell, but they may have updated some details where the walls connect to the ceiling and the blossoms on the trees. Or maybe that was all there before? It's been ages since I've played any of the older games.

If I remember right the courtyard has either 6 or 8 torches (Might be overthinking that number).

10/10 Will throw you into them. (Would still like to see Aerial Gardens).

The torches are gonna be interesting with the sit down stun they'll provide if you're knocked into them, I'll definitely be doing some combo experimentation with them as soon as the stage is released. The inside of the Azuchi also has a nifty ceiling too, so that'll be nice too.

I was kind of hoping for Aerial Gardens or Freedom Survivor but if Azuchi works with the Naotora connection, I suppose it can't be helped. It's a good stage.
