Random thought of the night : what about a guest... but like, a real life guest ? Someone TN would port in their game.
Which real life person (male or female) would fit in DOA ? Could be a popstar, a real fighting artist, an actor...
Of course it wouldn't be a famous person like Beyonce or Barack Obama, but maybe someone who is linked to the video game industry somehow, or especially to DOA's spirit.

Hopefully they avoid a Decapre tier scenario where there was so much time/buildup for a single character reveal and then fell flat hard.
Half the Decapre hate wouldn't exist if Capcom didn't hype that mystery 5th character so much. I mean at least Phase 4 was revealed relatively quickly around that time and didn't bother to hype that reveal so much.

1-2 weeks ago ago they stated on a FB comment that soon we will get some infos about the new character's release.
Gonna need some proof on that one.
That's around the time DOX3 popped and I'm not digging through that mess

I tried to give a look but sadly I'm not more able to find it back, maybe I could be wrong with the date of the comment (and actually I'm just reminding when I read it). By the way it was a comment made recently in answer to one of the user's posts, so a direct answer from TN. They didn't say anything of special, the message sounded more or less so "Did you mean the new character announced for Spring? (in answer to the question made from the user) Soon we will release new infos about". Of course it was something very vague but the fact to mention it should give an indication that the time for some infos about this new addition to DoA5LR is close.
If I should make a bet, I think like you that the finals for Battle Royale could be a perfect circumstance for giving some hints about considering it's big importance for the DoA community.
Well i would be content if they give us his costume for bass lol

This has been bugging me for a while now so let me ask; why the hell are ms monday, rio and niki in the options?
I haven't played yaiba but monday never came across to me as a fighter (kinda goes against the game's tagline). The same goes with niki as well; neither of them are even playable (unlike Lisa and rio is an exception since she's a guest character) or have shown any sign of being able to fight (unlike Irene) so it seems like a real stretch to even consider adding them.
Out of all the existing girls that aren't playable, Irene is the most obvious choice to become playable (I honestly believe its inevitable, either as the dlc character or in doa6) so I'd narrow it down to either her or a new girl.
