Apparently KT is making a new studio:

Tin foil hat, i'm guessing either:

1) Another studio to work on games similar to Nioh/Rise/Ninja Gaiden, while TN does DOA and 3rd party workings with other companies?

2) Alternate studio to work on DOA and 3rd party workings, whereas TN will continue Rise/Nioh similar action games?

Or maybe none of the above lol. Obviously this does not mean DOA is back for anyone that likes to jumps to conclusions like "oh maybe TN will be back to DOA permanently", because another studio could be for something completely unrelated and might be more tied to those other KT games. (JRPGs etc.)

By the way, Fate/Samurai Remnant sold 410,000 units while Atelier Marie Remake sold 120,000. How disappointing as both titles were exceptional.

If you look at KT's overall health, they are doing just fine and could essentially buy out any debt while still having plenty of operating income and solid profit margins overall.

Another outlook of current KT sales. Rise of Ronin sales are currently unknown.

Yellow Turbans return! No Team NINJA game yet! Given that this was a Sony showcase; it's probably a great thing.

I'm summoning a prayer circle for Rise of the Ronin DLC at Summer Games FES.

Probably won't happen just yet but RotR was so good I want an excuse to play it again lol

In case no one has posted this yet. It's not much, but hey.

This interview was very stale. Makes me think Nioh 3 is going to be announced next week. It's going to make a lot of people angry if so.

"Since the release of Nioh, Team Ninja has become more of an action RPG developer, rather than just an action developer. As a fan – do you think we’re ever going to see Ninja Gaiden and Ryu Hayabusa again?

Yosuke Hayashi: Ninja Gaiden is definitely a valuable IP to not just Koei Tecmo but to Team Ninja as well. We just want to make sure to have something solid first."

God this is such a non answer lmao. Just say you have no plans to make Ninja Gaiden Hayashi...

@HHH816 so, Morita's leaks are particularly fake, DOA will get a reboot first, nice lol
??? Where in that interview does it say anything about DOA getting a reboot first?

Morita's tweets have been accurate to what TN has released thus far. He initially said NG4 was in a planning stage but then a few months later tweeted the "NG" again which I presume meant it left the planning stage.

It's possible it may have been shelved but with all the recent "hints" of a potential NG sequel that seems unlikely. Probably will see some tease regarding Nioh 3 in the near future.

It was said by Yasuda himself back in 2022 on G star conference, he had a slide Popular series reboot in his presentation with DOA/NG screens, NG reboot is probably denied by themselves just now , so DOA is only left. He revealed it as future plans of Team Ninja, and the then it was denied by TN (like we didn't understand what they meant). I don't know what is going on in studio, but denying their own revealed plans, especially now, when all their projects we know were released is quite stupid

I don't see how anything in that interview can be interpreted as a NG sequel isn't in the works. Hayashi ain't gonna reveal anything new in a bland gamebiz interview. The interview might as well not exist, it said nothing.

What's hilarious to me though is Hayashi saying "We just want to make sure to have something solid first", admitting Wo Long and Ronin bombed, which is no surprise as both games are mediocre garbage.

Wo Long was awesome. Did you actually play either of them?

Yasuda has gone on record with saying that Rise of the Ronin is one of their fastest selling games. Does anyone have any figures on this? It's a bold statement to make without releasing actual numbers.

Shoutouts to Matt for finding this, unsure where exactly to put this but I suppose it fits I guess:

1)

2)

^
Harada: I can't say too much, but... I think that since there are a lot of core customers willing to buy, and the spin-off title is still getting updates, I think leaving it in its current state forever shouldn't be an option. I think, or rather, I hope so. I want them to say something like 'the most beautiful in the world' again, and get us all excited.
