How do you prefer to block?

I use :h:.

I do not know if this is true, but I personally don't use :4_: because I thought it takes a couple frames to go from "Backstepping" to "Blocking". Getting caught in a backstep awards counter blow damage to the attacker. So it's not a risk I prefer to take. However I have not verified if that transition occurs or not.

21[4] or 87[4] removes that issue entirely. Sidewalk cancel for the win.

what's nice about 214_ is you have that first frame where you can guard low.

Sometimes I alternate, but I may accidentally execute an errant hold. I wonder if this works.

I remember recording the :christie: dummy's :P::P::P::P::P: string so I could practice holding/parrying it (usually happens when the third :P: releases), but i found that if I hold down Hold (X on 360), (to guard) release, then press again (along with :3_:) within about a frame or two, the :3_::h: (parry) happens. (I've yet to try with Kasumi - although given that her hold/parry inputs are identical ...)

If I'm crouch blocking, then it's :2_::h:

Is it easier to fuzzy guard with :2_::h:?

I usually block using :h: but recently I've been using :7: but being that I've played almost all the DOA games I'm so used to the regular :h:.
