Good games to @nekoluver15.

Bad Games to @BBoyDragon and @SkyDawnandSun.

Were very aggressive and insisted that I was a terrible Ein player that didn't deserve to be in their lobby. They were very negative towards other players as well. Why are people filled with so much hate? :(
@BBoyDragon? Berating and insulting other players? No way. That doesn't sound like him at all.

What exactly did he say to give you that idea? Did he send a message? Did he post something in the chatbox? Sorry, but after getting to know him, I'm finding it very hard to believe BboyDragon would willingly do this unless he's provoked. I can't say the same for SkyDawnandSun.

Well, I had played 2 or 3 games and I said in chat "my controller keeps dying, I need to find batteries". Apparently this was me provoking him, because he immediately targeted me and said I was just using it as an excuse and that I was a terrible player. After that, him and Sky just kept poking fun at me and being aggressive. After my next game, they told me I was button mashing (which I only do when I panic from being pressured by certain characters). At this point, I was really mad and started to argue with the two of them for insulting me and then I got kicked by Sky. I'm not sure if he was just having a bad day or what, but his negativity towards me was completely uncalled for.

Edit: I had to leave my dorm room to ask a friend for batteries, which is why I played a couple games with the ones I had until I couldn't deal with it anymore.

What the fuck?

Good thing you told me this. Now I know for certain that I should never play on stream, much less with known players. The minute you lose, everyone will get on your case and hate you, stream chat or otherwise.

Thanks @My Babenapes, you've proven my worst fears to be a reality. I have no choice but to be perfect, or I'll never be accepted by everyone in the community.

Stop being so negative. People will bitch about you no matter where you play and who sees you. People bitch about everyone and everything.

Also, for all people who talk shit there are people who praise you too. Focus on those people instead. Being a pessimist is bad for you.

Really helped me improve with my Ein. Had some great games, but also got owned a lot of times lol :p

People are haters lol. Don't let them win by you agreeing with them. You are your own person that is getting better everyday. Googoo gaga to you too. Always happy to play against friends.

Good games to Codemaster92163, I was about giving up. That was kind of rape, no idea what to do against such fundamental knowledge. What was the final score, about 2 - 20 matches for you? Absolutely no chance for me, you were way too good.

Not to seem like the @BBoyDragon Defense Force or something, but I met him in person, and he wasn't anything like what was described in this incident. I'm a legitimately terrible player, but he fed me nothing but positivity. To the point of irrationality, even. (Top 8? Me? Maybe once we're down to eight man brackets!)

I think the community, as a whole, is way more accepting than you're giving it credit for. I was welcomed to hang out with the top players both days at NEC even after displaying a goofy, incredibly flawed Ayane during casuals and pools. Try not to let a couple negative experiences paint the picture for you (that goes for everyone who's developed a fear of being ridiculed by the community). By and large, we're a friendly bunch!

On that note, bad games to everyone who beat me today. You're lag abusing scrubs.

(I'm kidding. ggs, everyone)

In general I've noticed a lot of people in the DOA community tend to be a lot nicer in person than they are online.

And it's not just pleasantries. They are legitimately more welcoming, agreeable and often times humble.

Online just brings out the worst in people. I am no exception.

Overall, try not to let these things bug you. Surely what you see online stays there, and if you were to meet these peeps offline they'd be a very likable bunch.

Bad games to X Ayane X or something like that. Spams the simplest tag combos (Ayane PPPKK Hayate 4P6K rinse and repeat), loses to me after I pick random for both slots, and calls me an asshole for switching in/out so often. Beat her a second time, and she boots me.
