Do you see the reemergence of DOA live action adaptation under the hands of Netflix? Or nah?

What do you say that a DOA live action series under Netflix were to be made to explore other characters during and between each games? How well would it turn out? Do you see that it would satisfy fans after the horrendous movie adaptation? Which characters do you want to see the most especially their dynamic? Or do you prefer the series not to be adapted? Hopefully it isn't Ninja, Donovan, or Douglas plot related.

I'd probably think that they could do some animated shorts. But, if I were you, I'd say HBO Max or Amazon Prime would be better offers, as far as live-action goes.

What was horrendous about the movie other than Ayane being way too old for the role? The movie was brilliant. Easily one of the best game adaptations in film.

I didn't care for how they offed Leifang right at the beginning of the tournament like it was nothing. I also didn't really think it was the right choice to make Christie a main protagonist - to me, it seems like they misinterpreted the fundamental essence of her character.

Well they couldn’t utilize every character, and Leifang’s main beef has always been circulated with Jann Lee and Hitomi.

As far as I’m concerned Christie was more of a neutral character than a main protagonist, and Holly played her to perfection.

The acting was quite decent, I will concede. Kasumi especially was a great fit for the role.

As for Netflix picking up DOA... I would prefer literally any other network. Netflix have a habit of ruining everything they touch and locking shows they buy rights to behind their shitty subscription service. Only just this year did JJBA Stone Ocean finally get a US Blu-Ray release - nearly three years after it started airing on Netflix.

DOA Live Action under any hand of Western Companies is an extremely bad idea, like TheIndustrialCowboy said they have a habit of ruining everything they get their hands on. The only live action adaptation I want to see is based on real event where people within Hollywood, Games Journalist, & Localizers get laid off, lose their jobs, & getting replaced with A.I.
