Nope, I never bothered with XIII because of it. Any of the characters I liked all looked goofy. Mai looked like she had worse back problems than usual, Leona/Clark/Ralf's belts looked stupid. Even Kim's outfit felt too animated.
Since they showed us art work from KOF 2000 i assume all designs and characters will be from that game. Only problem is there is not enough females so maybe the rest are male costumes if it's 16 costume pack?

Kyo's look wouldn't clash too much with Hayate, but K's would imo. Ein however could wear both costumes well. So he will probably get K's. Complicated...but I think it makes sense. XD
We don't know indeed but most of the quest packs has been 16 packs. Also last time when they announced collab packs from Festival 2015 all the packs ended up being 16 packs (Falcom, Tatsunoko and Schoolgirl Strikers). Of course they don't need to keep following that rule but it may be.

This Soiree guy is pretty unknown and was only part of KOF: Maximum Impact, which I think they probably would rather like to forget. XD It's like the Yaiba of the Ninja Gaiden series...

This is what I was thinking, but I really didn't know which costume to give to each character - so I ended up just basing it off of their fighting styles.
I gave Kyo to Ein because his playstyle is similar, being a straight forward character and more linear moves (Ein doesn't have a DP-type move though, but it makes sense)
And then I gave K' to Hayate because he's somewhat similar in playstyle. Not that playstyle matters at all.
However, looking back at K' and the shades, it should go to Ein, because shades lmao.

I doubt the KoF pack isn't full roster excluding the vf guests/naotora.This isn't some random barely known anime/manga property crossover where majority of the cast is female and they could get away with making it half roster/female only. SNK/KoF is pretty legendary and among the founding fathers of the fighting genre and have tons of iconic characters both male and female that can ALL be represented so they'll definitely go all out in this mashup compared to previous ones as seen by them adding mai as a playable character.
If Ein gets K', I really hope he'll get that white hair too.
And yeah, Honoka will probably get Athena, which I won't buy. Honoka already has a schoolgirl costume and it's her best one imo (C1).
All I know is, whoever gets a Geese outfit and if you play as that character that has the outfit (if the outfit appears) you have to play his themes in every of your matches:
Speaking of themes, which theme will Mai get when she's released? I'm sure they won't be chosen, but I'd like Taiko Man(My all time favorite KOF theme), The Japanese Parisan, Native People of The Same Hole, or Luck Comes with a Spin of the Statue.
