This is exactly the reason why I don't want to see Burai zenin as a remade stage. Ignoring the rain, there's nothing particularly interesting about the stage as far as I'm concerned.
You have a point. The only good thing about burai zenin is the rain. Aside of that, is another big square, and we have plenty of those... I guess TN has some problem with rain effects, or weather effects in general. It's very strange that we doesn't have an stage with some weather at this point.

I can see a doa4 stage coming back, but they'd need to derandomize it for use in competitive play. The stages were beautiful, but completely unpredictable and somewhat messy imo compared to what we have in DOA5, where you actually know what's gonna happen...even with the falling coconuts and stuff.

NO.

That mindset is why almost all of the 5 stages were a boring brown empty box.

I LIKED all the obstacles. It gave the game more depth.

I liked having full environments rather than just "stages".

Totally agree. Dynamic stages are great because they add strategy, make the match more interesting and make it so every fight in that stage can be different. Also, we have like 70% of the stages that are squares. So, please, no more.

Why all the hate about this stage? Is because it doesn't make sense? Or because of the moving obstacles?
Is not my fav stage ever, but don't understand why so many people dislike it.

I never played DOA4 but the complaint I hear most about it is it's too random with pieces of the stage attacking you.

People don't pay attention and the pterodactyl and raptor blindside them.

Then again people also say the cars on gamblers paradise are "random". Even though they are coming down a straightaway with lights on and horns blowing lol.

How can you see and "pay attention" when the point of a fighting game is READING THE OPPONENT?
"OMG, I gotta watch what the opponent is going to do- wait a second! The Raptor is about to move, I gotta get the fu- *gets blindsided by the opponent and loses*...fuck"

Gambler's Paradise isn't bad because the cars make themselves WAY more obvious than the raptors and Pterodactyl.

If I'm not mistaken, there's also the distinct possibility that the camera faces away from an incoming obstacle, and since they're effectively random, you're stuck in a position where something you couldn't possibly have seen coming screws you over.

But wait a sec, only the pterodactyl can hit you. If you don't want to get hit by him, stay away from the last part of the water zone. Also, he only attacks one time in the round.
I think the leopard in Savannah Safari can give you more trouble than the dino. As he is constantly moving from one spot to another.
I guess the real problem, as I thought, are the raptors.

That's just you not being able to multitask XD

Basically it's not the moving obstacles themselves that are the problem, they NEED to be obvious in when they are about to move and where. The Lions in the Circus area are exactly this when you trigger them to start moving around the arena. You KNOW they are gonna start moving, so you are wary of whenever they do. The raptors(and I guess the Leopard too) don't have this in the slightest and can easily fuck you over at complete random.

I can't be the only one that loved the DOA4 stages. They are superior to the DOA5 ones. That the DOA4 stun system is garbage doesn't make the stages garbage. And yeah, I can have a sentiment for the dinos and the cheetah, but other than that, the stages felt way more interactive in DOA4.

I definitely liked doa4's stages more, it was its crappy fighting system that brought the whole game down. Doa5 has the best fighting system in the series though IMO and I still think its stages are good, for doa6 they should keep doa5's fighting mechanics and just make sure to have more vibrant stages, the base game of doa5 was going for this grunge type of style so it makes sense.

PS: Why haven't we heard any news yet of this months dlc?
