Her pigtails throw off her body proportions to me like they somehow make her head look smaller compared to her body than the default. I don't like Mila's new hair for the same reason, the volume of the default hairstyle works well with her face and body while the new one doesn't.

Hahaha I think this is what Enforcer was talking about. One person makes a (hilarious in my opinion) offhand comment that they can tell Kokoro from Momiji with a bob and bam! That's it for page 190. lol

LoL, heh, yep perhaps.

At least the conversation righted itself in a way. XD

Hey, I did this one! >__<' I do think, it looks better though than the bob, that she actually got with the pony.
I now imagine her with a pony named Bob.

They are the best of friends.

Its not that I didnt like the pony tails, I think they go ok with some suits (IMO her red legacy wrestling gear for example), but I just feel like they could have done something else totally that would have been better!

I like ponytails, but I prefer longer free flowing hair, and what TN gave Kasumi is just awful.... I shouldn't have to keep her hair up in a ponytail just to thicken it up and add length to it. I would PAY for better hair if I could, but TN hasn't acknowledged my offer...

Yeah, I sometimes don't get Team Ninja's design choices at all. Kasumi always had pretty long hair. Her long and thick high ponytail suggests exactly that. But then they give her that short and very thin open hair. One might now say: "Oh, it's not that bad. It's probably the best they can do without too much clipping and without straining the graphics engine." But then again, just look at Kokoro and Nyotengu. Long, thick hair without hardly any issues... :/
Kasumi was probably the first character model, that they did for DOA5 and when they gradually improved with the later character models, they never went back to change Kasumi, because of time restraints.

I mean...I can tolerate it, but it's sort of a disappointment, because I love girls with long loose untied hair. They probably decided to devote time to her ponytail mostly because that's her signature hairstyle, and they probably assumed not alone of players would choose loose. I'd still pay them if they could just finish what they started, but making good hair is pretty hard in videogames.

Even if that's a likely scenario with newer better than older, I think it's not just a simple time fix for Kasumi's.... It has a lot to do with rebuilding the framework of the character to handle the clipping and animation for the character's core files and potentially every costume. The bones are specific to every hair container with possible collision information within the costume, not 100% on that though
