all swimwear used to have footwear, but a lot of people signed a petition to remove the footwear on all swimwear, so after that petition, TN has been rarely giving footwear to swimwear.

Well, that's client - pretty much like in our work.

We give them this, they want that. We give that, they want this back. We give this back, they want another stuff.

No offense. lol. I wish it could be removable, but yeah that's going to be extra work for them.

TN has done with and without footwear. Those attempting to force one style over the other need to give it a rest. There's clearly two different camps on the issue.

Goofy ankles have been in the game since the beginning and won't be changing for the duration of DOA5. >> Opinion: getting worked up over it is really petty at the end of the day since it's a game and will never have perfect realism....

well the exact demand was to have the option to toggle footwear on swimwear. TN response on facebook to the petition was something like "toggle footwear... really?" so I guess they thought it was more money making to release new dlc instead of patching the old ones to have it removable. which was why the hot getaway pack was so popular since they were all barefoot, even the recolours of Christie and Tina had theirs removed in the pack.

Honestly, I say the fault with these stretched legs is TN. They knew how they were going to go with dlc, and should know that eventually, some costumes would require bare feet. They should have made the characters default height between wearing heels, and bare feet. So the characters legs wouldn't be so stretched bare, and wouldn't be so shrunk in heels. Also considering the bare foot craze, they should have been prepared for this. being a sfxt modder for years, you couldn't imagine how many PMs I got requesting me to make barefoot versions of my mods, or teach them how to make mods barefoot.

Now my personal opinion on the matter. it honestly depends on the costume. some footwear like the ones nyotengu has on her swimwear look good, but some seem very out of place like the ones kokoro has.

They need to go back and patch toggle options into old dlc. Like the ability to toggle off ALL the old headgear (milas visor, pumpkin hat, casual hat, etc)

Its not just the heels, the chars legs bend wrong where they meet the feet, and they also suffer from a flat-foot issue. They obviously didn't model the chars legs right without shoes or somethin, it does look strange.

Flat and high-heel-shoed foot is really tricky. My 3D knowledge isn't advanced.

But it does seem they took the easy way out of the rigging by pulling the Heel Joint downwards when it's barefooted to make the feet artificially touch the ground.
