They should just move onto DOA6 if they haven't already got people working on it.
That would be so awesome! >__<' I want them shiny new graphics. But I highly doubt, we will see it for another couple of years. Not with the way they are still pushing DOA5/Ultimate/Last Round. I guess, the next big Team Ninja game we will see, is going to be Ninja Gaiden IV.
Doesn't TN usually work on a new NG game before DOA anyways?

I had forgot about this particular, I remember how many fans of Ein dislike the loss of the bandage (that ironically Ein owns on other outfits in DOA5). Personally the outfit has still the same charm for me but I can understand if some people think differently, even for me Ayane's iconic purple outfit wasn't the same with the yellow ribbon of DoA3.
You remember bad UpSide, I assure you that Ein in DoA2U owns 7 costumes including the karateka with bandage, disco outfit and red trousers.
Yes, I was thinking the same thing me too, effectively it's more likely that we will see Ni-Oh or NG4 before than other DoA titles. Personally I'm truly curious about this new IP and I hope that in the end it will be really completed and will not become a Code Chronus 2.

DoAX3 could become a very good title imo if thought as a true evolution of the first DoAXBV abandoning DoAX2. Sadly there would be anyway a great focus on fanservice and DLC purchases seeing the outcome of the DoA5 series, so I don't know more if to hope for it or less (even if I really like the spin off series).

DOAX has so much potential, this is their chance to experiment with customization and maybe even open world.
Would you guys really rather have a DOAX3 than a DOA6? The time to develop DOAX3 (if it's even open world as suggested) would make DOA6 impossible for a few more years. If we get Ninja Gaiden IV next and then DOAX3 , DOA6 might not come until 2020 and the PS5.

I wouldn't mind DOA6 taking a long time if they take their time with it and don't make half of the stuff DLC
I'd rather TN take their time with DOA6 i'm in no rush for another let down. With DOAX2 they can really push the engine and make something amazing then Improve upon that with DOA6.
Was DOA 5 a let down for you? I thought it was a really good game after the so so DOA4. Also no other DOA game has been supported for so long. The only let down of DOA 5 for me personally were the fugly stage textures. XD

DOA5 has it flaws, but in terms of content, it's probably the best installment in the serie and one of my favourite game EVER.
Back on the DLC topic. Let's see what was the trends last years.
16th of June: Overalls
4th of August: Bed/Bathtime
18th of August: Maids

Three options that I see coming:
- a new DLC on the 14th of July, one month after the Deception one (June 16th)
- an announcement for a Season Pass from September to Christmas/January
- a teaser for a new surprising character during Gamescon... hehe...

3 years of dlc and I still just use her flannel shirt and sports bra/sweatpants outfits. The only dlc I liked are sports, the Armstrong outfits, and the bedtime because I imagine its her flannel button up instead of a generic one. Such a missed opportunity there.
Ps3 has been in storage since February so I can't check out costumes since then.
I used to buy all dlc for mila because fuck it she was my only character but I know its a waste of money now since I won't use the outfits anyway.

Doax3 should just be an extra/side mode of doa6, rather than its own game. And team ninja seems to agree since they keep merging it in doa5.
After the train wreck that was ng3 and yaiba, I don't have much faith in ng4 being good, let alone happening.
Honestly they could just merge all three series into one game at this point.

if we get DLC this month is def either coming later than the 14th or it's going to be copy and paste. TN likes to tease 'original' DLC outfits as in, each characters is usually different. i personally don't believe we're getting anything this month. they're probably slaving over 3D modeling outfits from the previous contest. idk how long modeling the outfits take but i'm going to assume that's what they're doing.
