Design new characters for DOA6

I was expecting this answer, well you're right. My idea was something more flashy where you could have several options to counter, play with the opponent's brain and gain distance at the same time. Something similar to sabaki's but related to zoning and the notion absorption.

With that much work done on her, TN would have very little trouble importing her into a game (they'd just need to wire her bones up). They'd be stupid not to. My guess is they'd try to make her a ninja, though.

It'd be really stupid to develop these characters and not use them. The feel more like a DoA6 preview right now. The hard part for TN is that these are new characters with no clear cut explanation on their alliances and such, so to keep things feeling fresh after they've introduced these guys, is to make sure new things are there for DoA6. However, since we don't really have their stories outside of a paragraph, people could be distracted in seeing the ones we know actually having a part in the storyline. Therefore, they need characters that can out-do Honoka, Marie, and Nyo, or the new ones will easily fall into obscurity and the wow-effect of DoA6 will go into the crapper when it comes out.

That said, i highly doubt they'd make an even stupider decision by kicking them out entirely. They are just going to have a hard time beating what they have without crossing too many lines. Good luck, TN.

4) More Chinese styles (Fu Jow Pai/Tiger Claw System, Houquan/Monkey Fist, Hei hu quan/Black Tiger Fist, Wing Chun, North/South Fists, etc.)

Pretty sure no girl will ever get cut from DOA. I think some of the guys will get cut from DOA6 to make room for the girls, but there's so many girls that I'm sure a few will be sold as DLC (Momiji and Rachel come to mind)

Muay Thai, the various Kung Fu arts (yes, Kung Fu is considered boxing), etc. American boxing in particular wouldn't be able to fill the buttons without adding a majority of it's stuff from another system. Then again, that's what we have Zack for, since Muay Thai is essentially that. I wouldn't mind seeing Eskrima and the various styles (panantukan), though, as they have alot of grappling potential that you just don't see with Muay Thai.

I wouldn't mind more chinese styles if that wasn't what game companies do for roster fillers. Northern Mantis would be entertaining, though, but i've about had it with the Intro Shaolin stuff (monkey, snake, snake, etc). They're good styles, but they're intro and the more complex systems that are more flashy (which makes the games more entertaining) typically get ignored.

Nyo feels like she would end up there, fast, while i feel Honoka is planned to be the major plot point. Marie is 50-50. If Raidou is there, he is likely a support character to explain Honoka. I'm just afraid that Honoka will end up ruining Ayane with a plot hole (Another Raidou daughter, but the special powers are from being Raidou's daughter, but somehow Ayane didn't get them, then they have to figure out by the end of the game whether she suddenly figures it out to save the day [which then makes us ask why she won't use them outside of the story] or not [meaning she's a clone, which they'd then have to explain why Donovan is a such a pervert, which would ruin his character]).

I like Gen Fu, but i really wish they would in honor of both voice actors who've died. It'd make room for another old geezer, too to spice up the roster (though you can't get rid of him without finding a new one since everyone really has the old guy character).

Not at all, I've tried both with DOA first and VF later, and the difference is not too radical. Besides, I think it would be a neat and new concept for DOA's sequel.

"father" of Eliot obsessed with gaining power of any kind through any means. he is a vicious man that utilities Tiger Style martial arts and book of ancient vigoorian spells he bought in a black market auction to take what he wants by force. although he had suspected it when he learned that Eliot was not of his blood he killed his mother though not before she sent Eliot to live with an old family friend,Gen Fu pleading to tech the boy martial arts to defend himself should his father ever find him. years later facing his mid life crises he worries what will happen to his empire when hes gone, learning the whereabouts of his "son" from seeing his sons strength in the DOA tournament he was convinced that he is strong enough to continue his legacy and seeks him out in order to make him become his heir.

character relationships:
Eliot(son) Eliot is terrified of the man even after all these years and attempts to avoid him at all cost, but with him entering the tournament he knows he cant do that anymore.

Gen Fu- Isaac greatly respects Gen Fu's power and holds no ill will towards him, but Gen Fu cant stand the man.

Brad Wong- Isaac is disgusted by Brad who he sees as just drunken homeless bum. Brad doesnt trust the man even though he doesn't know why he wants to find Eliot.

Christie- Isaac find himself smitten with Christie who he contacted to make some business deals between himself and MIST. she think of the man as nothing but a tool and continues to string him along.

Rachel- she believes the man is using Vigoorian magic and wants to stop him before he taps into powers beyond his control.

I actually just took the time to read this, but as much as I REALLY want to see one of Eliots' parents show up. I have this weird vibe that if one of them was evil, it would ruin Eliot's image. Still food for thought. Looks good.

goddamit you had to go and remind me of that fanfiction I wrote awhile back. not sure why, any characters made here ironically cannot be put in DOA because of the way copyright works.

it would affect his image in that he would no longer seem so pure. he has occasional misadventures but he's never really been shown to deal with something heavy, worst being his self-doubt that was completely unfounded.

Guaranteed they had such a liberal agreement for Spartan and the Metroid stage.

that will never happen. even though most would offer their ideas for free a company would rather create their own thing than deal with any hassles or risk any backlash. not only that but they risk getting absurd amounts of requests if they ever did it unannounced where as the costume designs have a clear end/beginning so they can stem the flow when they want.
