DOA5LR Core Fighters is coming to Steam

While this might be a rumor for now the history posted on Steamdb would suggest that Core Fighters is definitely coming to the PC platform. Now while PC play has been a bit controversial in some areas, it would appear that Team NINJA is still supporting Steam players, giving everyone a chance to play a fighting game for free (with option of paid DLC characters) that is actually worth your time.

This might not come as too surprising since Team NINJA has accrued over 7,000,000 downloads on systems, and the recent release of Mai has also brought players from past versions of DOA5 back in as well as curious King of Fighters fans.

This is definitely a welcome, but as others have mentioned it will be a wish come true if they add lobbies. I am still giving hope.

They can sell more content before completing the game they already sold? That's a scam if I've heard one. They really need to get the game up to par on PC. It's a shame, really. It's the most capable hardware to show off the game.

Koei-Tecmo's primary objective with DOA5LR is to sell as much DLC content as they can. They sell a lot more DLC off the PS4 or Xbone versions so it's harder to justify allocating a lot of resources towards a version that likely won't push as many DLC sales (the attiude of modders, i.e. disrespecting TN's desire to not have nude mods definitely didn't help matters). However, as for the PC version, I do feel you guys do at least deserve some sort of lobby support.

 

I don't really think they're gonna be selling a lot of these fat packs on PC anyway. Majority of players are on ps4 anyway and they are the major spenders especially when it come to dlc content. I still wish they could've had smaller packs especially for individual characters.

Official Release date for Steam is October 3rd and Mila will be the first free character to obtain without paying money until the 30th.

The new update has set my game to core fighters. I can't select half the cast or play story mode anymore.
Anyone else have this issue? Any solutions?

I had no rendering issues. The problem is getting matchmaked on online mode.
