So, this is strange, yet fascinating. Apparently, Studio Ghibli had considered adapting the Parasyte manga at one point, but the film rights weren't available at the time. Years later, when the rights reverted back to Japan (2013, if I remember right), Toho quickly scooped them up, and that's why we have those two crappy live-action movies in addition to the recent anime.
I'm kind of disappointed this didn't happen. For one thing, it would've actually made me care about the series. As it stands, the manga and anime just don't appeal to me in any way. Would not have passed on a Ghibli version though.

If you haven't read Onani Master Kurosawa go read it! Its one of the best things I have ever read, such a roller coaster of emotions.
That look like it would be the most cringeworthy manga I've ever read not saying its not good, but im the type of guy who buries my face in my hands at other people's embarrassment so I doubt I could read it.
So has anyone ever read something called Holyland? one of my favorite mangas of all time a mentally unstable kid starts fighting back against his bullies which keeps getting him into even more fights and he keeps tipping back and forth between timid defender and raging aggressor. the fact all the fighting stays grounded into reality makes it so much more believable and makes the fights more brutal and fun to watch.

Kekkai sensen, Dan Machi, Punchline, Shougeki no souma, and Triage x. The new Digimon Tri is coming out sometime in april apparently as well.

I tend to avoid anything extremely Echi. I remmeber trying to watch high school of the dead by the guy who apparently made the Traiage x thing and they kept flashing panties WHILE they were being eaten. at that point I'm not laughing, not aroused, not cheering, just thinking what the fuck was the point of that either do panty shots or gore not both. Corpse Party turned into that as well, the remake and anime just started showing shit like that for no reason. just ruins scenes imo.
I've seen that Kekkai Senson one, looks and sounds great but I had no clue what the fuck happened that first episode. gave me a FLCLY feel the way things just suddenly went to shit and from what I heard its somewhat episodic so that's likely to happen a lot. the main character keeping his eyes closed the entire time drove me insane.
I'll try to watch digimon but I only watched the first series so....yeah I'm probanly going to be lost as fuck.
Based on the first image I saw punchline looks interesting
The main thing about this season is that Gintama has returned. I couldn't read the manga it just wasn't the same without their voices in so glad it's back. it'll probaly get canceled again for someone but for now it's back
Has anyone heard anything about Ubell Blatt? I heard that was getting an anime adaption as well but I can't find anything about it.

That's not correct. It was announced last week that they would be announcing more details on the show (and presumably reveal the release date) on May 6th. Announcements of announcements are silly, but at least it's only like 2 weeks away. At this rate, Digimon Tri is looking more and more like a summer title.
It is. As someone who's read the first light novel, I will say that the books are a lot better and more detailed, but the TV show is a solid adaptation overall. The fanservice, while present, is not the focus of the show. I have no idea why everyone is so obsessed with Hestia's impossible boob strap.
I've heard nothing on an adaptation of that, and a few quick google searches turned up nothing either. But I thought you just said you didn't like ecchi? While that's not all there is to it, UB is still a very ecchi/fanservice-heavy title from what I've seen.
It's not the focus however. the early part of the manga is kind of misleading as a lot of fucked up and strange shit happens right after one anouther but once once they get past that wall it gets a lot more normal. it's almost like the creator did it just to say "these are the lines we are willing to cross, be warned"
