Someone's clearly a fan of Macross and Mospaeda.

The influence is all over the place.

AI is programmable to create high quality content with the right hands. These artworks could easily surpass modern gaming companies.

That’s incredibly sad. May Kabosu rest in peace and be remembered forever.

She was a good doggo. Forever will be remembered as one of the bright spots on the internet hellscape.

Weirdly tho, the doge image always reminds me of DB now because of his avatar when I started posting here, lol. (or was that before or after the fat koopa?)
WOW, I never thought I'd see a hololive vtuber streaming any DOA... and Pekora??

For anyone who doesn't understand vtubing and the significance of this...
this is one of the top vtubers in the world streaming Venus Vacation to 45K+ ppl right now.

Also iirc Kizuna Ai has played XVV before when the game was still new for a sponsered video.

Fubuki played DOA6 pre-release and even got custom fighter cards made
Yoooo, my oshi played DOA6 so early in her career? And this was before her scatman days so it's gone from the internet? D: Damn...

That said, I think Pekora playing anything now is a bigger deal since vtubing is more popular than ever before and Pekora is topping the charts these days. The VoD has almost 500K views now. I'm guessing she'll be playing it again too. As big as a deal this it tho, I wish it was a DOA fighting game and not VV...
Don't get caught up in the culture wars, bros. KT isn't gonna care how worked up we're getting in forums or on social media, we have no control over what they do. We tried to get them to wake up over DOA6 and they just shut the whole thing down. The best of us, imo, are making and putting out content. Matches. Tourneys. Videos. Fanart. Keep playing, keep positive, and keep having fun. Keep DOA alive. :thumbs up:

A whole fandom becoming united is completely unrealistic when people have different points of view or different reasons, especially when sex appeal/sexualization comes to the mix when this stuff should be the reason DOA is profitable with their Season Pass & Microtransactions. To be quite honest, I have little trust in KT when it comes to then giving DOA another shot.

sorry to say that matches. tourneys. videos. and fanart is not enough, DOAX3 happen because the DOA5 gravure DLC sale very successful, new NG game might be if NG master collection sold a high number. The only way we're gonna get DOA7 if team ninja publish old DOA game master collection. A big "IF".

The reaction to the hair colour stuff is what I was talking about. We effected them, but I doubt most people wanted KT to entirely stop supporting the game. Most of us wanted them to fix the issue and do better going forward, not quit. That's why I said we have no control over what KT does.

I'll be honest, back when I played MvC2 I didn't get hooked on the selection screen music like a lot of other people did... but this, this can't be resisted, I just can't talk shit about this at all, lol.
I did not see a Space Adventure Cobra game coming, of all things... might turn out to be crap, but it's just weird that it's even happening, lol.

I saw SSF4 Ultra or whatever for $5 on Xbox and finally caved. Finally gonna play it for myself for the first time. I really wish SF5 was on there more, tho (might just get it on PC some day).

every now and then i get nostalgic for SF4 so i;ll boot it up, but then i actually start playing and i;ll be like
    "focus attack, ew
    ft1 ranked matches, ew
    El Fuerte, ew"
then i;ll shuffle on back to SFV lol

btw if you're gonna buy SFV get it on PC, that shit lags like crazy on console

I just was more interested in SFV because it has characters I want to play as more and it doesn't look butt ugly. I was never a fan of SF4's visuals, but on top of that it really hasn't aged well, imo. But I have seen the general consensus from most fans that SFV has the worse gameplay, unfortunately. And of course, if my only choice for that is between PS4 and PC I have to go with PC.

But I managed to try out the game today and get some Cammy practice and tried out two 'vs Com' matches with her. It was alright, but it really made me want to go back to SFA2 or 3. Then, anti-miraculously, my last working Xbox One controller, my beloved Hori Fighting Commander, just died. The D-pad totally crapped out and I have no idea why. It's the most I've ever taken care of a controller, but not enough I guess.
First it happened with Kazuma Kiryu, now Paul Phoenix. Is Metrosexual Midlife-crisis a thing now?
    inochinagi
    inochinagi
Apparently Harada already confirmed (on twitter) that you can customize his old look back in.

Metrosexual is usually a word used for feminine style hair on a guy, or basically an overly groomed hairstyle. And imo, the hairstyle its self isn't bad, it'd be ok on a young dude maybe, but it's just plain weird on a gruff old guy, lol.

Yeah, I don't think metrosexual is the correct word for Paul's new design. Bad choices, yes. Another attempt of cowboy in its worse, definitely. But metrosexual, hell no.

I'm not talking about his whole look, just his hair, lol. That's why his look is so jarring, he generally looks like a slob but his hair is all stylized/groomed and typically feminine. I used to associate the word with a specific kind of hairstyle (a wig in an old Tekken, actually, lol). But I looked it up to make sure and it really basically refers to a style of anything on a guy that's well groomed and/or feminine.

I'm pretty sure if you already bought it, you'll be able to redownload them anytime you want. It's the stuff you haven't bought already that you'll lose out on. But I'd be surprised if one day, many years from now, if they don't shut down redownloads too. Not until we're really really old, hopefully, lol.

March 27 is the final date, btw. They also made it a hassle by shutting down use of credit cards on those stores already. You have to add the funds through the browser version of the store or on Switch's store, or buy points and redeem the codes.

Does anyone else want the DOA reboot to have the biggest stages ever seen in the series? Is there anyone who would be against the idea?

A brand new game with new assets made from scratch, if KT actually decided to put real money into it, with huge interactive stages, I think if any FG can look truly "next gen" and turn heads it's DOA.
    inochinagi
    inochinagi
Is Museum considered the biggest stage in the series so far? Not like I've measured them all myself lol, and perceptions can differ from reality.

I don't mean big as in one huge flat room, more like multi-tiered. I've never felt a DOA stage was ever "too big", honestly, but "too small" for sure. DOA2, 2U, 3 & 4 have most of my favorites. Imo, big stages, even after playing them 100s of times, can still feel fresh.
    The 4th phase
    The 4th phase
interactive stages could work if they ever decide to cough up the capital to invest in it lol. i am probably in the minority of those who enjoyed doa4 but i remember those stages being good. 3 was better but that’s besides the point.
    inochinagi
    inochinagi
Well I think there are different kinds of interaction and different people are more or less comfortable with them depending on which ones they are. Most people might be fine with hurdles and danger zones, but not everyone was a fan of DOA4's cars and dinos, but it's all good fun to me. It's good if there's a variety of stages for every taste., imo.
    Ninja vs Sharks, anyone?

Lol, somehow I find it less crazy than "sharknado". The concept could turn out pretty cool if done right... or insanely ridiculous and intentionally/unintentionally funny, which is probably the way it's gonna go.
