I don't think we've had enough evidence to back up DOA 7 being canned. At least none that I've found. What if that teaser image that was on Twitter was just a mock-up of sorts to gauge interest?

I would recommend official endorsement of community content creators by the studios to give back to the fans, while trying to maintain the Japanese cultural awareness that Team Ninja is known for by supporting Friends Of The Japanese Gardens and other similar organizations.
