  • Lab Zero (the studio behind Skullgirls) has closed it doors, leaving the future of its properties and employees up in the air

From what I read on twitter a while back, Autumn Games owns the Skullgirls IP. Sucks for the employees who didn't quit, though.

I feel bad for the people who worked with Mike Z if all that stuff is true. Maybe it won't be the same, but I hope support for the series continues.

The first time I listened to Mike Z in a podcast, I thought: Amazing! This man is even more insufferable than me. So him acting like an edgelord wasn't shocking to me. But eccentricity is not a valid excuse for an adult to be obnoxious after being told to stop.
Super Mario 3D All Stars AND Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury are all coming to the Switch
NG3 might garbo but that OST is fyre, listened to it today and ngl, that shit gets u pumped

I can agree with this yeah.

I like all of them when it comes to the music.

I like them all to but I think NG2 is the weakest when it comes to music, not that it's bad its just not as memorable (lost civilization is a banger though, love that track). NG1 has tracks that I listen till this day, and NG3 has very memorable songs, but I don't really feel either way towards any of the NG2 ost :/
These new punishments for rage quits in DBZF are serious! 1 week ban from online to possible permanent ban!? Arcsys you wildin'!
Players will duck Tamaki's running OH all day but will get hit with Christie and Lisa's slides 100% of the time, wat???
    Camel with 2 thumbs
    Camel with 2 thumbs
Even after doing 100 running K and P's ppl are still more likely to preemptively duck when Tamaki's running at them, which i can sorta understand since her running attacks, while safe, have problems, running P has crap range and misses alot, running K has better range but it leads to no dmg midscreen, Running OH does almost twice as much dmg and has better range and crushes highs and some mids
    Camel with 2 thumbs
    Camel with 2 thumbs
but even with this logic is pisses me off immensely when i've spent a whole set approaching with running P and running K, and then the one time I do running OH to mix it up, my opponent ducks and punishes me because they're that afraid of getting hit with it, even when I haven't done it once during the whole set

This is true. I'm honestly surprised at how often my slides hit with Lisa, lol.
Mortal Shell is a great game, but the new game plus pulls some questionable shenanigans :/

Basically it nerfs the Harden mechanic by making you take damage when using it; frankly I hate it when games do this, you make a fun and interesting defensive mechanic and to make the game harder you basically make it worse on harder difficulties (Bayo 1 did the same thing and I hated it there as well!)
Where's the Fall Guys training mode so I can optimize my routes though maps and practice stage tech for max efficiency?

No one told me anti-airing short hops was gonna be this hard in KoF :(
    Camel with 2 thumbs
    Camel with 2 thumbs
yeah I figured, preemptive seems to be the name of the game when it comes to stopping hops, which for me is new cause every other 2D fighter I play has one button anti airs that are high invincible and lead to 30-40% dmg so you can stop that kind of stuff on reaction, that or the anti buttons are mad disjointed, but it looks like that kind of thing doesn't exist in KoF
    Camel with 2 thumbs
    Camel with 2 thumbs
from the pov of someone who doesn't play KoF anti airing short hops seems mad risky; the price of failure is high (IF they have the meter and the execution to maximize the hit) and when you successfully anti air the dmg is low, but you do get an air reset situation which is nice for mix and pressure, which seems more in line wit KoF (game makes you work for dmg)

but hey, new game, new environment, and a new way of thinking, so dammit I'll preemptivly jab these hyper hopping Iori's and Kyo's even if it kills me! (or in Love Heart's case, standing C, that move is serious!)
I finally get why Ayane players says they hate fighting Tina, Booty Bump literally doesn't let Ayane do Ayane things lol

and once that threat is established it makes gettting in on the resident runaway ninja much easier than it is in other match ups, mad Im only now figuring this out lol

Maybe we should ask Tokido doing Violas infinite in SCV or J. Wong laming people out with Rose sweeps and Custom Combo chip damage. They do seem kind of, scummy and fraudulent at times but they've shown their skills through perseverance rather than raw talent tbh fundamentally they can play similar to us intermediates, so, people feel confident in winning theoretically

Well, it is the only online Senran Kagura experience with a PvP mode on it but from what I saw it can be pretty fun, you definitely go into games a lot more differently than you do with offline missions. Burst Re:Newal has better gameplay however, which kind of makes me sad that it didn't get PvP mode but understandable at the end of the day, Bursts+easy level 3's would've made the experience unenjoyable for many

did Shinovi Versus not have multiplayer?

and I don't think bursts and level 3's would of made a hypothetical burst re:newal multiplayer unfun, but then again Im a Renka player (whose entire gameplan is to bait burst into death thanks to her electricity and lvl 2's, and her lvl 3 is useless so no worries about that), so my opinion might be skewed
was Hitomi's 2p+k ever a high crush or was I just delusional?

It's DOA so the frames are going to be fairly specific.

This the main thing that seperates Tekken with every other 3D FG. You cannot use crush moves or sabakis on abare. There has to be some specific frame or some considerable breathing room but even that kinda pushes it because it demands a certain finnese & reaction. Block stun has a lot to do w/ it of course.
protip for playing Samurai Jack: Battle Through time, unlock Instant Guard as early as possible, it works just like IB worked in Ninja Gaiden and is necessary for survival
Decided to hop back into Tekken and man, Harada wasn't kidding when he said 60% of console players are on Wi-Fi :/

Makes you wonder how many of these Wi-Fi warriors are also subscribed to the cult of Sajam; can't go 2 minutes w/o talking about rollback but then have the audacity to be like "but my Wi-Fi is good, I keep my console right next to my router"

Man, when I forget to switch back to LAN from using my PC (Haven't got to putting wi-fi on it) Shit is terrible and I get 200 Down with my router in front of my room door.

Me who's played Nyo since launch: I don't think Nyo is as strong as ppl say

ppl who've never played Nyo a day in their life: naw man, she's really good, top 5 easy, you just need to be better
    Hold_Junkie93
    Hold_Junkie93
In 6, she definitely felt relevant because of a feature but there's a secret strength I've noticed with, Nyo, Gen, Phase, Akira, characters who are fairly reserved with their routes and general gameplan feel harder to fight in longer (Shorter?) sets because there isn't a long ass string to hold n throws hurt like hell, they have good loops n troll tactics.
Question for you KoF heads, is Geese Howard considered the answer to projectile zoning in KoF?
    GreatDarkHero
    GreatDarkHero
As for what Geese can do specifically, you need to be tossing out your 236A (not Double Repuuken). If you can predict the enemies super jump jCD attempts, you go for B Atemi, 2C, or you can go for tiger knee Shippuken, a strong air-to-air option. You can also use EX Shippuken to eat other projectiles in Max to "shield" yourself as you start the offense (otherwise, you use EX Shippuken as a mix up tool on wake up).
    GreatDarkHero
    GreatDarkHero
Again, you need to understand that there *all* characters in KOFXIV *can* stop enemy projectiles with just what is universally available to them. For move sets however, some characters have good anti-projectile options in form of their special moves or DMs. Yamazaki has 41236 + P for example. Or, you have Kyo's 236A which can "eat" projectiles and help you build meter.

    thanks for the input folks!
So, Pokemon VGC just created a ban list that removes the top 20 most used pokemon from competitive play, and no official reason was given why, that is nuts!
    Camel with 2 thumbs
    Camel with 2 thumbs
the suggested reason is that this is supposed to liven things up , and admitably seeing Rillaboom Togekiss Tyranitar Excadrill over and over again can get boring, but even if that's true that's a wild way to go about it, that'd be like if Capcom said "for Capcom 2021, the top 10 most used characters in tournament are banned, gl hf"
    Hold_Junkie93
    Hold_Junkie93
Their fault for creating shitty balance.

    Camel with 2 thumbs
Well Pokemon's always been unbalanced af, and usually Mythicals are banned right out the gate (some Legendaries as well), but a straight up traditional ban list? that's new, at least for Pokemon, I know CCG/TCG do this kind of thing all the time cause of power creep and new cards coming out every year, guess Pokemon's taking a page out of their book
