    I've really only played Ryu lol, also most matches I play online are with people def better than me lol, my wins are from scrubs on ranked.

    I've not played a huge amount of ranked, I must confess. It's all 1-2 bars here, and you know how cheaply everyone plays in ranked in the lower levels... Not fun, unless you're going to replicate the same behaviour.

    I never was keen on playing Christie or Alpha, lol :p

    I think the ingame tutorial offers good information for everyone. Also, in a century where most of them is able to access the internet, they can easily get all the information they need. People are just lazy, I wouldn't blame TN for it.

    Unless you're a fighting genre regular, a lot of that information is difficult to use until you stumble across a site like this, with guides for notation and basic terminology, tho.

    I guess IGN didn't do too badly with their original 5 guide, and they're still quite popular, but still. Bit of a barrier for complete beginners.

    You mess up the timing in his beast mode and he can just chain leaping attacks over and over till you're dead. I beat him normaly one time, but just recently I had to get him stuck around the large tomb and just cheese him to death

    Play offline. I died the first attempt because it's so stuttery in there in online mode. Went offline, and had no issues with timing at all.

    There's definitely something wonky in that game, with the network stack affecting frame times.
