    Even Nintendo nailed it again! AC new horizons, Luigi's masion 3, and botw 2 but still no sign of bayo 3 and SMT V but this is fine.

    I thought for some reason by AC was a new Assassin's Creed. Of all games I wouldn't designate Animal Crossing to AC. Just isn't necessary. Too many games in that franchise, AC is synonymous with it at this point. Since you know, Nintendo wants to go all 3rd party n shit

    Sega has lewded characters before in other games outside of fighting games when it comes to revealing, yeah even Sega. Don't think it's that much of a difference, but I do think the approach in promotion might alternate in a path (might not be so different if you think about it). If Sega was behind the marketing they'd probably promote the fighting while keeping DOA's fanservice if DOA was under the Sega brand.

    A concern I have is that SEGA sucks at marketing around as much as Koei-Tecmo does, which is DOA's greatest weakness easily. For Gust, SEGA would use them pretty similarly to how they're being used now (shilling to the softcore hentai otaku crowd). For DOA, SEGA would try to promote it as a fighter first, though the temptation to sell a crapton of DLC would be pretty strong...

    It'd be the primary reason why any publisher would pick up DOA. I'm trying to think of how someone like Square Enix would promote DOA if they were to ever pick up Team NINJA, and they'd probably try to sell cosmetic DLC too.

    Well licensing contracts don't actually affect TN development projects (it's not doing freelance game work). It's up to Nintendo really, they have a good relationship so the chance is quite bigger than slim though not a guaranteed one either. There could be many reasons if they deny his entry (trying to make him fit in the Smash World that's over the top), but Bayonetta is in there including Cloud so it's possible.

    I still have doubts of his entry for many reasons but would be cool to see. If it ever does happen they might even include hints of classic NES competition with Castlevania (Konami) since at the time both of the companies were friendship rivalry. Kinda like Mario and Sonic or Megaman beating up Pacman.

    Sophie along with Ryu making it in Smash would be quite fitting. Ryu has a chance but Sophie definitely won't make it in sadly. Can imgaine her moves/kit and it'd be pretty neat honestly, she's more of a ranged character for sure, poking from relatively far distances. Also, Arnice and Christophorus from Nights of Azure in BBTag would be extremely fitting too imo but that'll also never happen.

    I don't hate KT or DOA but they'll probably move forward and make better changes when people stop supporting their practices, like people can say all day that they hate the DLC bundles but that won't change if they keep buying it xD

    Not hating on DOA so I can't label myself on the hater discussion, but there are ton of people buying DLC bundles entirely. There are people that buy the entire package for characters they don't even use.

    DOA's stigma will forever stay and will never leave, so the only way to eliminate it is to create an entirely new IP fighting genre freed from Itagaki's shackles (which is a gamble on it's own for a new IP).
