    Lisa's stun play in 6 is just odd to me. She can't simply launch and get her good shit. 66P2K is meh now. Bt 2k doesn't combo from stun. You can P+k but it doesn't grant too much much with 4P. IDK I'll just get use to that in particular

    I think your barber should have the same hair type as you to extent. My hair is dead, so, I can still go to a straight hair barber like a Mexican or a Chinese (Chinese lady did it) barber because they just know how I want it. 2 of the 3 (good attempt was my mom's old friend so, it made sense) times a Black dude did my hair, if, I don't tell him to stop, he'll keep mowing it down.

    Is it sad of U.S. schools that I actually learned a bit of the metric system because of video games? More than my school has taught me. I do use metric more personally when talking about distance or temperature and even heights. Just haven't fully embraced Kgs and still use pounds because i feel imperial is better in that sense of measuring weight. Does anyone agree on that one? Pounds sound better to me

    As for video games:

    - Donkey Kong Country 1/2/3 gave me an appreciation of music, art, and wildlife
    - Gran Turismo helped me out with driving and driving lines
    - Rock Band & Guitar Hero helped me discover different kinds of music and got me into Drums & Guitar
    - Fighting games (starting with SF2 & Tekken 3) helped me with reading people and situations

    List goes on.

    @Force_of_Nature I agree with the Gran Turismo one and fighting games to an extent. As they had a professional fencer play Soul Calibur with Okubo and he was just mashing lol Gran Turismo has people play tournaments in europe and they can win a chance to qualify for their real life racing licence

    GTA has taught me how to run over people correctly, just step on the gas and hit em! All jokes aside, video games actually do teach you stuff. Not only math and stuff like that, but also philosophy and empathy. Some video games really have some deep story lines that make you feel bad for a character, or one of the characters in the game really teaches you a life lesson that helps in self discovery.

    Haha, no need for that. I'm just a normal Canuck dude. For the record, I hate online and can't wait for the offline scene to start up again for DOA6. The dude we were playing with is also from Toronto and it was still laggy LOL.

    Tbh, I only trashtalk Ayane because FON and Hajin are the only legit ones, even though i still think that they would be on an even higher level with a better character that is good outside of paper theories. Ayane is more of a bait character so her moves are easy to telegraph, especially because of their animations and missing string variations *hides*

    See, I never not locked on in dmc3 *Looks at game next to me on cabinet*. TBH now I think about it, I probably always locked-on since 3 but think it's weird you don't have the option to not lock on-launch. Sometimes I want to admire the design of the ugly ass demons without having the big ass target reticle on them. You know, the whole, "Immersive HUD" situation

    I suppose. DMC's controls have never been as fluid as Ninja Gaiden's, but part of that I think naturally comes from what each game is focused on. Ninja Gaiden is primarily a hack'n'slash, whereas DMC incorporates a lot of other abilities into it's play-by-play combat (such as guns, teleportation and the like) that demand a different approach. Holding melee is already bound to other techniques (at least for Dante).

    Honestly, the most counter-intuitive thing for me in the DMC5 demo was that they changed Nero's Split attack (Nero's version of Dante's Helm Breaker) to back+attack instead of forward+attack, and I have no idea why. Trying to break a decade of muscle memory for seemingly no good reason is just odd.

    Well, marijuana does affect your thinking, reaction speed and coordination. If you combine that with gaming it will actually make you play worse. If you’re nervous it does calm you down, but that’s about it.

    Well, see, having ADHD. I find that it helps me stay calm and focused on the screen. Despite various claims. Certain strains have different properties. Some do make you react sooner in fact. Whether that is a good or bad reaction. It really depends on the person. It helps keep my adrenaline in check especially in high stakes competition like a tournament or ranked match. I use it more like a senzu bean.

    That’s because you have ADHD meaning you have a lower dopamine level than people without ADHD and marijuana raises your dopamine levels allowing you to stay calm. Marijuana is a hallucinogen drug that alters your perception and reaction times. It’s also considered a stimulant drug (that explains why you’re being able to concentrate more after smoking) and a depressant drug meaning it can make you feel depressed.

    Minus stick players. Who here changes DoA's controls? I feel like action games made me want to have Punch as SQ/X Kick as X/A. P+K Tri/Y, H+K O/B and Right bumper (Trigger for Akira knees too) as H. Left bumper for T .It feels odd having block on the face button. Makes some sense for holding itself but idk

    For SC, I put SQ as A, Tri as B, K as O G R1, Throw L1, A+B+K as X, R2 as A+B, and I manually press B+K for Tira special Jumps and BT B+K,
