Food for Thought: Fighting games should focus more on Online Dojo's then just sweaty matches pretty much all the time. Need to find a way to encourage more of a cooperative experience.
Tekken 8's Microtransactions: Season passes, Tekken Shop & Battle passes; set a dangerous precedent for fighting games going forward, especially AAA FG's. I shudder to think what Namco may do to whore out a potential SoulCalibur VII.
VF then hopefully DOA getting reboots would be great for the 3D fighter scene. Just need some hint at what Namco may have in store for another SC and then I'd be set!
The TEKKEN Shop is laughably bad. Really don't like an in-game currency in place of just using real money, if at all. $6.99 CAD for 500 coins is scummy.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth occupies over 145 GB's. I suspect quite a bit of people will have to free up space on their SSD's. Always emotionally challenging to decide what stays and what goes.
One of the toughest things in Tekken 8 is playing a 1st to 10 with your Ghost after its learned your playstyle. Fights get friggin' intense! Like DAMN! Brilliant feature. Glad to see an incarnation of KI3's "Shadow lab" in a 3D fighter.
I love the way how the main moves part of the Move List is utilised in Tekken 8. The moves are ordered logically, tosses in sample combos, and lets you know what each move is for (Eg: df+2 : Combo starter / Effective on crouching opponents / Effective on opponents low atttack). Big step up from Tekken 7. And of course, FRAME DATA in a release FINALLY!
