  • FF Origin getting some nice reviews. PS4 is the only one with mixed. Game seems to be developed under PS5 in mind. but overall positive. Cool to see more of that Nioh familiarity, and they want to make more :)
After years & years, the Valkyrie Profile series has returned, or potentially new series for newcomers since the gameplay was completely changed to an action-RPG.

On one hand, it's pretty dope that they brought it back. People thought Square and Tri-Ace completely abandoned the series due to sales not meeting marks and series was converted to mobile. Same issue Star Ocean had.

If they truly decided it was for the best to turn it into an Action-RPG, I guess that's fine but man....the limitations for changing it into that. Action-RPGs last at best is 30-40 hours. A general RPG like how Tales would do it (What Valkyrie P games used to be) would be 60+ hours at minimum.

And lastly, if they truly wanted to make it into an action-RPG, PlatinumGames should of handled it. The gameplay i'm seeing in the video looks incredibly rough.

Meh, it looks aight. I’m happy they’re finally bringing back the series after more than a decade of waiting but for real when is Hrist gonna get her own game lol. She was so hot and badass in VP2.
Weird. Ubisoft devs are flaming Elden Ring on social media about bugs.

Don't know if I should chuckle for it. People could write a whole book about Ubisoft game bugs lol.

Both the Prince of Persia and the Assassin's Creed franchise had entries that were full of bugs and glitches. For Ubi, the real challenge would be to make a game that doesn't have too many of them, as you said, we can write a book about them pretty much. From what I've seen, Elden Ring's pretty much a DS game but its also open-world, and both parts seem to be done right, of course people will like it.

The irony of Ubisoft's salt is amusing (I still remember when AC: Unity was in its prime), however the bloke does have a point that Elden Ring got a shitton of passes for its "unoptimisations". 97 on metacritic is kinda ridiculous.

Much as I like Ubisoft for making AC1 - AC Revelations, they really have no right to complain when their games have a lot of bugs. Heck, AC Brotherhood literally has THREE game breaking bugs. I am praying these got patched in the Switch ports. I am very fortunate to not have encountered any of these in my playthroughs but these really should not have gotten past the beta testers.
Elden Ring has been a blast. Might be safe to say that Elden Ring probably has the best character creation they've ever made for their Souls-type series. Do wonder if I'll like it more than Sekiro, which Sekiro is literally my favorite game FromSoft has made as well.

Hey DB, I checked out some Sekiro gameplay, and it actually looks pretty dope:

Looks like FromSoftware's take on Nioh/Ninja Gaiden (IIRC they made Ninja Blade).

@Force_of_Nature Yeah ahaha. Plus you probably noticed how there's no stamina on it and how different the combat is. It's actually different from Dark Souls and Nioh. The only thing that's similar is the damage they do to you and shrines respawning mobs, that's it.

Sekiro completely blows out Dark Souls. I still firmly believe it's the best work they've ever made.

The only downside to Sekiro is the same issue to Nioh 1 kinda. You have a standalone character which was tailored for the story, so no custom character.
Lost Judgment DLC news is up. Great game when I finished it, though can't see myself getting the DLC episode. Kaito wasn't exactly an interesting character for me, and the DLC itself might just be up to 5 hours or something and then it's over.
Think I'll wait on the Steam Deck. Will probably consider it when the Docking feature becomes a thing from the news I heard.

What is it specifically about the Dock that would be a feature you'd hold out for? Everything in a dock you can do atm, just without the whole stand thing.
So I hear that ArcSysWorks devs were interviewed on two games they'd like to work with. Their choices was Jojo and Tales of fighting game.

Tales of fighting game might be fun, I'd cheer for Yuri players, but JoJo might be a busted fighting game (maybe not if Arc Sys can get involved).

By the way, does not confirm they are working on those. It's only games they'd pick personally I hear.

Both would be great. My main would be Velvet for sure in the Tales fighting game, hope that they receive the go from Bamco in the future to make it.
I just remembered Strangers Pararise is in 17 days, and I just bought Elden Ring.

About to spend 120+ cash total within the same few weeks lol.
To get Elden Ring on PC or not.

There are issues on the PC version but they are working on fixing it. I could also wait yeah.

I cant comment on any graphical glitches with it, but I can tell you that the PS5 version also has frame issues. The only version that is a perfect 60 fps is the PS4 version on PS5, and you'll take some draw distance and detail hits with things like grass with that version.

My frames were dipping more than I expected on PC. Tried it out with my brother's steam share. It had the leg-up on my Series X with the loading times, but at least the game doesn't stutter as much. I didn't think to turn off depth of field and motion blur though and I hear disabling them helps. I usually always disable motion blur.
    Elden Ring looks heckin dope.
Babylon's Fall might actually be PlatinumGame's worst game to date.

@Camel with 2 thumbs According to the early play testers and latest videos I've seen, seems to be. The coop element looks cool, but everything else seems to be forced on things to be very slow in all aspects and the gameplay is like a toned down version of Nier. Some say it'll be part of the game's charm and more fitting on the final build, I'd say it's more copium for people to think that way.
