    Some Bloodborne shit eh? Cool. And I figured Genichiro would be the Ornstein of Smough of the game so struggling at him makes me mad worried about future bosses lol

    I thought the difficulty of bosses in soulsborne was personal experience/varies, not the order in which they occur?

    The story has different paths and it’s possible to entirely skip at least one full area. The bosses that a few endings have are thus skippable and are the hardest. If you do the Shura ending it’s significantly easier and quicker. I don’t want to spoil things so I’ll leave it at that.
    Played One Piece World Seeker for nearly 12 hours today. I have no regrets.

    Probably not since the story is self-contained. You’d be lost of who some characters are and that’s about it. It plays sort of like a cross between the PS4 Spider-Man and Darksiders 2. Some reviews haven’t been kind but Game Informer and Kotaku both did very positive reviews and write ups and I fall more in line with their opinion here.

    It’s just a good game. Lots to do, great traversal, great fan service, excellent story, et al. Check the sites I mentioned and watch gameplay from someone who knows what the hell they’re doing.
    The alternate ending for beating the Prologue boss in DMCV is hilarious. Genius little twist. Reminds me of Shadow Complex.
    DMCV is very, very good. So glad I didn’t watch the launch trailer before playing. Spoils the whole damn game.

    Yeah, I use Devils Never Cry as Dante's battle theme, myself. i actually like Nero and V's default themes so I left them as is.

    When a completely subjective amount of time has passed at my discretion if I’m doing the moderating. Realistically I’d say a good month or so. Plenty of people haven’t gotten it yet.
    Man they made Brad good. So much free damage and he’s so much safer than before. I know how to fight him but he’s just way better.

    He gets bound off of 3P+KK as well but you give up damage to get it and the scaling on the break blow makes it only situationally useful.

    Right. None of his changes feel considered or well thought-out. What's the use of 214P, now? Why did we need another high punch from ongyoin?
    We could've had so many basic, quality-of-life improvements like no forced ongyoin transition on 7P or a 3K2K that people actually use. But nope.

    He's currently my 4th most-played character in 6. I just need to move on and leave him in the dust (like TN did).

    I still think he’s better than he was in five but his buttons are weaker. The new high from Ongyoin I use largely only under low ceilings to set up his new throw from Ongyoin otherwise that juggle does less than most options.

    2K4 in Onyoin is good.

    Making some of his strikes unsafe out of nowhere blows my mind and nearly everything beats out his special rising attack so it’s only useful against airborne.
    So how do you fight NiCO? Having a hell of a time with little match experience. She seems to be safe all the time.

    - KK only has one followup which is another K. Hold high to stop it.
    - Watch out for 4H+K at range. It crushes and has deceptive range. Unsafe on block though and has a low followup which is also unsafe on block. If she commits to the full string, block low and throw punish.

    And one final piece of advice:

    When she’s doing Fatal Rush, she can land her 3[P+K] after two (SS) or three (SSS) hits. NiCO players use this move often to launch. However, delay Break Hold slightly as the move is slow. Otherwise your Break Hold active frames will end before her 3[P+K] comes out.

    Thank you both of you. Excellent tips. Need more lab time and matchup experience but lack of lobbies is hurting that lol.
    For the first time in like four game releases, I feel Hayabusa is better than he was before. Still not as good as he was before nerfs in previous games but he’s pretty damn good.
    All pre-launch character gameplay discussions will remain locked in favor of new threads you all will create going forward. We only want active threads with 100% current content. We won’t do this again after this so new threads will become permanent.

    I locked all gameplay threads because whether you updated them or not, old information from previous builds was still in the thread. You can make Kasumi and Phase if you like though. Just keep them updated.

    If you intend to keep the thread updated, you can create a gameplay thread. Anything more than that is unnecessary to create ahead of time. We just want gameplay discussion focused only on the release build to avoid confusion.
    Hate to break it to you guys, but EVO isn’t a community tournament. It’s pay to enter or a PR move for any game in the roster. The TN series is far superior.
    As a heads up, ALL character threads are getting blown up at launch. Too much content in the current ones is from specific builds and outdated. We’ll communicate how they will be created and managed in a couple of days but it will still be community-run.
