Hey DoA community,
I know this is being put on here very late, and for that, I apologize. We weren't sure if we'd be able to fit DoA into our schedule at ECT5, but we are able to put it in for Sunday. I know this is pretty much last minute, but pre-registration ends on May 4 at 11:59pm eastern. I'm doing my best to get more hotel rooms available as well for Saturday night, so I'll let you know once they all become available. Again, I know this is very late in terms of announcing DoA at an event, but we'll be sure to include you guys from now on. You spoke loud enough to get it in this year! Here's the general information for the event:

East Coast Throwdown 4 was easily the most fun we've ever had at a tournament. The energy in that room was simply electrifying throughout the entire weekend. From the intense exhibitions between OMG itz Andre vs Unk0wn and RayRay vs Fanatiq to the nail-biting finals between Justin Wong and RayRay. And that was just Marvel!
ECT4 also marked the first tournament with international presence from Asia. AverMedia's GamerBee was in attendance last year and proved to be quite the threat in every game he entered. It was truly an honor to be able to host a legendary player such as Bruce and we'd be happy to welcome anyone from around the world to our event.
Joe and I were really pleased with the way ECT4 was run. We finally have systems in place to make sure everything runs as efficiently as possible with minimal delay. Our pre-registration system worked flawlessly and about 90% of you guys saved yourselves some dough and registered early. This allowed us to start on time and finish early. We received awesome feedback from the community and we're more than pleased to be bringing ECTV to you guys. We hope everyone who came last year will come back again for more spine-tingling excitement. The stuff we currently have in the planning stages has, and I quote from Joe himself, "the energy to bring back Jesus". So ladies and gentlemen, without further ado, we're ecstatic to present East Coast Throwdown V!

We will be using the same ultra-efficient pool system we used at ECT4. By ensuring that around 16 or 32 (depending on the game) people are in each bracket, pools can run very fast and very efficiently. I will be doing brackets by hand again this year in order to better guarantee that people don't have to play 2 games at once. Since we're using smaller brackets, there will be more pools available to place players in, making sure you guys don't have to be in 2 places at once. Just report to your pool, stick around for 2-3 hours depending on how you play, and you're done! If you do have to play more than one game at a time, it is YOUR responsibility to tell your pool handler that you're in another game. If you go missing for 20 minutes because you were playing in another tournament, you might get DQ'd because the handler doesn't know where you are.
