I'm sorry, but no one can cosplay as well as the Japanese. They are like the kings and queens lol. It just suits them better.

Those pics are of an old DOACentral member. She may not be Japanese but she still did a good job getting the hair and home-made outfit together. I like the locations she had the pictures done.

Agreed, she did a very good job, and she's pretty cute too. My favorite pic is the one with the petals, very nice.
Japanese people cosplaying as Japanese people suits them better. There are american characters, or characters with blonde hair/colored eyes that suit americans better.
It's just that in Japan a lot of the pics that migrate to the states are the good enough ones to make it on display. The better the costume, the better the chances it makes it over here. Whereas, over here it's easy to see the ones that "wouldn't make it", so you tend to see a lot of the costumes that fail more than you would from the Japanese.
I.e., anyone can cosplay if they have the right materials and ideas.
