This trailer was creepy more than anything and I feel sorry to say this.
Did this franchise really need a dating sim game per se when DOAXVV was practically one already, by the way?
Sakuda is doing more harm than good to it right now to be honest.
Eh, still better than Shimbori and his outright stating large-breasted women weren't even human and his trying to appease SJWs in Famitsu and other places.
As long as they make sure to state the nationalities for the DOAXVV girls this time, I won't complain (I really don't understand why DOAXVV couldn't bother to add a nationality section).

I presume that's a way to keep a bit of mystery to these new characters, but a nationality section would definitely help them bring something new to the table for starters since they come with very few background info upon release that makes you want to dig into just to get to know them some more.
I'm not sure if I ever said it here before, but I've always wished that VV would completely separate from DOA (because I think it's been kind of an open secret that VV's devs have been using the DOA series as a launch pad and would rather work with their OCs over DOA's characters). I had it typed out on the internet somewhere I'm sure, but I couldn't find it here. Anyways, I thought somehow they had read my mind when that new logo was revealed with DOA's name nowhere in sight... but they ended up adding it as a subtitle!? I honestly don't know what looks worse, leaving DOA off the title entirely or making it a subtitle, lol...
Well that was half of my hope, what I really wanted was for VV to drop DOA's name and a new DOA FG to get announced, with the 2nd thing happening first. Like this, it just looks bad for the DOA series, imo. I bet the devs were forced to add it on in the end, that's what it feels like to me anyways. Even the first two girls announced out of what's going to be 6 have been their own VV OCs.
As for the new game... big nope from me. I caved when it comes to VV (cuz of Tina), but Prism looks like it isn't going to have anything I'm interested in at all. I can even already guess what the full roster is gonna look like... it'd be shocking if it doesn't even have Kasumi, but I can actually see that happening because even when it comes to DOA girls I think they'd rather put Marie and Honoka in over her. Plus, I already cringe at most of the dialogue in VV. I've played and liked Romance VNs before, but I can't imagine this one being anything but cringy. Prism is really reminding me of Tekken Team's Summer Lessons, of all things... (but without the VR, surprisingly, but I'm sure they'll add that later) so weird to see TN being a trend follower rather than a trend setter now.
All that said, I've still been playing VV on and off. I get turned off from playing it sometimes, like when all of the festival outfits were only for VV girls a while back (and not even any of the few I've managed to like). Right now I'm still kinda pissed that when Tina actually got included in that "Adult Time" outfit gacha (even if it isn't a swimsuit, sigh), I wasted 50K on it and never got her's once, lmao (and I went in thinking not only would I get it, but get it to malfunction level).
Anyways, one question tho... why is it that when some girls read the title screen, they sound like they're being made to say it at gun-point?

To be fair, they may have DLC for Prism if it's done right, so we can't say they'll only have six.
As far as DOAXVV is concerned, I'll continue supporting it until they get all the cut girls in, plus NiCO. They already know the cut girls have massive popularity, as they admitted it themselves, their questionnaires for the game every anniversary since the second ask that specific question, and even their local gaming rags made clear their high demand for the cut girls. And since they didn't explicitly say no (and by that, I mean behaving like Kojima did with the NES Metal Gear or calling Americans "meatheads" for slight negative criticism for Death Stranding. Not to mention how the creator of Naruto basically cussed out fans who disagreed with pairing Sakura with Satsuki.). I'm not sure about Prism, however... I MIGHT get it only if they give certain biographical details of the girls (like, I don't know, Fiona's home country.).
I think that the way Prism is going to be designed is going to make it a lot of work for each character they add, that's why they've only said there's going to be 6, and I think 8 at most. Whoever gets in is gonna get a lot of animation work and dialogue. I don't think we're ever going to even see every character in VV get into Prism. They're going to go with the "cutest" and most popular girl-next-door types who's character and background make them ideal as "visual novel" romance characters.
I don't really know if how I play VV counts as supporting it, lol. I try to play for 1h at most every day if I get the chance. I've also only ever spent $5 on it and that's only because I want to get my birthday greeting, lol.

I know, that's why I said we shouldn't necessarily rule out DLC regarding any additional characters. In fact, Xtreme 3 based on that Dengeki PlayStation pre-release interview for it was originally SUPPOSED to add more activities and girls to the game, but then they blew it when they overpriced their swimsuit DLC, Whirlwind if I recall correctly.
I've paid for various girls and birthdays. I think I'll continue doing so (though I'll hold off on the Linkane ones when they inevitably hit Steam since it was extremely costly for me this year especially with my job. Maybe only get one suit at most beyond that, and even then, only to find out if that lotion episode has any subtitles or not as a just in case. Probably shouldn't expect it, but then again, the first main episode of the Steam version added subtitles when the DMM version rejected subtitles altogether, so you can never be too certain.). I generally only roll once each birthday, though thanks to the changeup, I'm rolling as many times as needed to get the suit. Ideally, I'd prefer using my paid V-stones on Tina and Leifang's anniversary gachas, but I need to be pragmatic and make sure to worry about 100% outfits anyways.
Yes, Elise was announced as the third girl of the six starting at launch for Prism. She’s probably going to be one of the better selections to start off.

If they go where I think they may go with this game players would probably not like to see the classic characters used in this way, but I’m still jumping in. LOL
I think this portrait looks outstanding. I complained a little bit with the trailer as the proportion of breasts heavily outweigh the other parts of the body.
Of course the arms look reworked which is good news in comparison to the odd webbed look they can have towards the shoulders/armpits area if they are in strange position via DOA6 or DOAXVV.
