No need to use a trainer or Cheat Engine with this version. Below are the details for reference or if you want to mod your own copy.

Mod Details
DEAD OR ALIVE 3 (October 14, 2001 Prototype) 
Unlock Ein+Random Select and add to story mode:    - go to address 0x0B3458, and set 74 15 to EB 09
Replace Random Select with GENRA:                  - go to address 0x33DFAA, and set FF 00 to 12 01
