tbh design wise I prefer Marie Rose, Mila is cool and has an edge in her persona but Marie's design imo is better overall, especially her hairstyle xD
I also kinda think the F word and pedo thing are a bit much but that's just my opinion, and her style uses the principles of systema which involve striking the opponent in joints and areas that'd weaken them over time. But I understand Milas design is more your taste xD

The funniest part of this meme to me is the implication that gamers on 4Chan engage in any form of meaningful physical exercise, let alone MMA lmao.
Seriously though. Every Marie Rose fan I've personally interacted with has been an accepting and polite individual. The most dedicated Marie fans online that I've seen are female, if you can believe it.
Can't say I've experienced the same acceptance and courtesy from interacting with Mila fans though. Especially not when they're lobbing homophobic slurs at people I consider to be my friends.

Same tbh, I think Marie Rose fans are possibly the nicer mains of the DOA community imo, particularly one named OtakuArts on Twitter who's female xD I won't say all Marie fans are that way tho, I know one named project Jill who's particularly rude and very entitled but I don't interact with her xD
Imo though Marie has the potential to be a good character if you don't regard her DOA6 appearance much from story mode, I think she's an easy target to just downplay since she's a loli and is naturally a cutesy character which was her main design vibe, but the same goes with characters like a Hitomi or Kokoro or even Kasumi but they don't get that flack since they're visually more mature and have been around longer. Nico too I think gets more positivity since she's more on the mature side as far as her composed Personality xD
Agree - OtakuArts is probably the best Marie main I can think of off the top of my head, and also one of the nicest members of the DOA community I've interacted with on Twitter. There are also a number of really talented cosplayers and cosplay-makers who are fans of Marie. As for Project Jill, I've never interacted with her personally.
I can understand why people might find Marie's personality annoying, it is honestly her weakest trait imo. But it's no excuse to blanket slag fans of a character though - I hate it when people do that kind of shit.

The joke on this meme is Marie is far more popular than Mila thanks to DOAX3 Popularity Poll (which determines who gets to appear in DOAX3, Poster Girls are anyone who are number 1 & 2):
Which interesting note was a result of Koei Tecmo giving Team Ninja limited Budget/Resources for DOAX3 which can only afford 9 characters (instead of all 15 females at the time) that Koei Tecmo gave fans (mainly ones living in Japan since DOAX3 wasn't coming US & EU) by via buying downloadable character themes. So Mila being "Too Based" means nothing other than ego stroking and bit of coping & seething.
The fan & waifu comment is a good way to make Marie even more popular just to stick it to these comments, in a situation if you had to choose 1 girl to be part of the character roster of a new DOA game I'd make it Marie Rose.
Team Ninja makes characters based on what a fan likes along with country they live in, for example female characters are based on what Japanese fans like which are moe anime/manga/light novel character types which began when they were creating Marie, so characters like Mila may have some competition.
The crappy/lame volleyball spin-off is more profitable than the mainline fighting game title thanks to DOAXVV continuing content from DOAX3 along with new features and DOA6 being a flat out inferior version of DOA5.
PS. Mila has every chances to appear in DOAXVV like Lei-Fang & Tina that were previously not included in DOAX3 (PS4/PSVita), the only problem is DOAXVV Staff tends to create a bunch of brand new characters instead of adding DOA girls that weren't included like Mila.

I like to headcanon that Zack didn't invite Mila to the island because it would weird him out because he sees her as "one of the bros/one of the boys"(some old fanfics I read had Zack kinda weirded out when Mila was more girly, lol). And he didn't want to invite Marie Rose because I like to think they don't get along at all, but Helena convinced him lol.
Also "Tina Armstrong's waifu" is incredibly based sir.
Hopefully a Marie vs Mila flamewar doesn't start, I think the two would get along in canon. I remember seeing a chibi fanart of both of them being jealous of Honoka's tiddies and it made me LOL.
With tomboys getting more popular recently, I think Mila will gain some popularity. Maybe in the future DOA will have a femboy dude, too. Eliot don't count anymore since DOA5, even if AI apps think he's a chick.
