Unlocking Hitomi in DOA2U

I have my saves for both doa 3 pal and ntsc they both work for doa 3
I finish story mode in doa2u with ein using default settings, and nothing happens.
Is there some trick to it ?

yep, I gave up on doa3, I played the volleyball game and had a save for it, and hitomi was unlocked!
now I'm on survival getting the "unique special items"

I'm unsure what `the usual criteria` you're referring to is, sorry.
But in order to unlock Hitomi I believe you have to have a DOA3 or DOAX save. Be sure that your regions match as well as different regions of DOA3 have different saves. Then, once those saves exist, beating Ein's story mode on default I believe should unlock Hitomi, if she isn't unlocked immediately.
